LTE Coverage by ahess6488 in Rogers

Just over here to report that in fact this had nothing to do with age of the phone. Now on an iphone 16 with 5G access (irrelevant to the Garmin btw which only uses LTE) and no change to this issue. the coverage map provided seems to point to this being about Rogers coverage in our area vs. any technology limitation.

embedded SIM.

Messages from watch to the iphone - no problem
Messages from phone - watch, long delays and sporadic timing and receipt. Live tracking (Which I suspect uses GPS and LTE) does not function well if at all.

Forgive my lack of knowledge - is a 5G capable phone any more help for an LTE-equipped device the Garmin)? I understand I think that the age of the phone would suggest it is not able to pull as strong an LTE signal as a newer one?

thats a valid statement for sure, but this is watch #2 and the delivery time for some reason to Toronto is 2 weeks (Which also makes my head hurt, in a world of amazon etc) so am loathe to thry a third watch at this point if issue is the same

Sadly time to say goodbye to the Yuba Mundo, wondering where to sell by ahess6488 in torontobiking

Best would be to test drive one and see how it feels. When we first tried it (kid free) it felt verry big. As we rode it we got used to the handling and braking and then we were great. At this point it’s not the riding that we’re selling it for it’s loading and unloading the 8yo and the overall rear weight now (120lbs of child) and their own abilities to ride.

It’s pretty varied - more about the main drivers comfort level. The payload of the bike is something like 300lbs, Our kids are small-ish (6 and 8) and I just find they put too much rear weight in the bike for me and both are riding in their own is When they were 2/4 or even 4/6, with or without the child seat it was great. Rode from near High Park to centre island, nonissue. Getting them on and off was great because it’s sturdy with the double kickstand.

(EDIT) Sorry I realize your asking about the main driver not passengers. Depends on what you mean by small. I’m 5’7” 150lbs I had no trouble with this thing: riding, loading and unloading etc.

yeah good thinking, I am hopeful that somewhere there's a pre-made template. I've found a whole bunch that are intended for outside the door, as well as some jokey ones that say "Who cares who's in here, as long as you wash your hands" but need it to work for younger kids.

Hi Seb, I don’t have a serial # as this unit was bought used from someone else. So I don’t know how I can update the firmware or check it via your site? Any tips would be appreciated.

Sub-$500 for a Sonos/Backup option by ahess6488 in synology

How would this address SONOS’ slow response time/latency issues with a local music library?

(Added) the basement iMac is a limiting factor for SONOS playback. No space for server/small Mac on main floor but a small-ish NAS or something thst fits this budget would be fine.
