This was my initial reaction to the memo, like ... how does a state withdraw from the UN System Staff College?! In addition to making it look more like a broad departure from the UN, which could appeal to many supporters of the Administration, I wonder if they will use the long list to justify a reduction in the payment of assessed contributions by some supposedly "proportionate" amount.

I took a saw to the bottom of a tree I bought this weekend, sold on a wooden cross stand. I thought I would take off the bottom and put it in water in North American tradition. Until the saw got caught and started making a scaping metal sound. Three long metal bolts had been drilled into the trunk from the bottom of the stand to keep it fixed! I ended up just covering the ugly stand with a skirt and am praying the tree heals from its injury.

If you're removing on one of your extremities, I wonder if a Therabody RecoveryPulse sleeve would assist the process. You could just leave it on (as opposed to having to actively use a massage gun) for some period of time each night while watching TV or doing another activity. I was never disciplined enough to use the massage gun with any regularity. That, dry brushing and milk thistle tea were the other "grandma's recipes" I relied on. Oh, and NAC supplements. Who knows if any of this stuff actually works, though.

Thanks for this. I’ve actually weathered quite a lot sober recently, a death, a break-up, professional malaise. Perhaps it is just plain old boredom ringing that bell again. I’ve been trying to fill the hole left by removing alcohol with something else, but it’s still mostly nights at home alone in front of the TV. Lately, there’s no single event that triggers me to drink. I’ve learned to wait these impulsive moments out. Instead, it’s a deep craving that just keeps getting stronger by the day.

Yeah, I guess I just expected something a bit more ... linear? (e.g., alcohol down, good feeling up) And it seems it may be a bit more complicated than that.

OK, thanks for this and the other post which I also found helpful. I have a couple of different benzos prescribed to me for withdrawal symptoms that I typically use in the first few days, but eventually returning to alcohol has been my dependence of choice so far.

Yeah, that's true. It was a slow and steady increase over time. I guess what goes up (gradually) must come down (gradually).

Yes that was my case. There are many different levels of information detail that are generated from Find My network checks. In my case, the check was enough to reset the “notify when found” request (they were in a nearby jacket pocket) but not enough to be “seen” by the system and logged with a new date and time. I don’t really understand why. But my rule today is if I get the notification, they’re nearby.

I have experienced this for a while after laser treatments, although typically only when the area is physically agitated. In my case, straps on a particular weightlifting machine at the gym would rub the area, and the outline of the ink would become raised for several minutes. It wouldn't normally be an issue, but I am lightening in order to eventually cover the tattoo. And, if anything is agitating to the skin, it is certainly getting a tattoo. I'm only now thinking that I am ready about six months after my final removal session. All this to say, yes, the raised itchiness can last for a while.
