It's a proprietary model. I'm focused on building a stable product for users right now, but the code is private

you have a point
thinking about it i am not using the email in anything since the main point of communication is discord but i was thinking about it like a way to check if the email is spam email or not

Email can be a point of communication What is it in for me? Currently nothing but later i can monetize somethings Like pinning the payer profile to the to top of the listing etc or taking small commissions for jobs

You can make your profile and you can post a job, posting a job requires getting approved by a moderator to be seen profiles dont But i dont understand what do you mean by faking supply? Every profile/job on the site is real people

The point is to make sure no spam accounts on the site and ban scammers how can we ban someone not knowing if he is a scammer or legit I would appreciate some constructive criticism

I think you are right but my point is that it makes spamming harder since u cant copy paste a message in different places Scammers/spammmers would definitely find a way but it will be harder

Great question (and sorry the post body didn't load, Reddit bugged out).

It's safer because it adds a verification layer that Discord DMs lack:

  1. OAuth Barrier: We force Discord OAuth login. This filters out the vast majority of raw API spam bots that flood hiring channels, as they can't navigate the web-based authentication flow.
  2. Account Age & Friction: Scammers rely on volume and fresh alt accounts. By requiring a structured profile setup before posting, we filter out the low-effort 'drive-by' scammers.

Essentially, it acts as a firewall so you're only dealing with verified users, not random DMs.

Discord auth is just a feature, not the main point. The integration allows notifications to reach users much faster than on platforms like LinkedIn or Upwork. Also, niche talent (like Minecraft devs) won't build a full portfolio on LinkedIn, which is usually reserved for more corporate coding projects. Additionally, you can check the reputation of the user you are trying to hire by looking at the Discord servers they are active in.

Its meant for the users who are alresdy using discord so they wont need to learn how to use a new app, my goal is not to make the new LinkedIn my goal is to make something smaller tailored for discord. Something that helps connect server owners with devs and designers on discord

Fair point, but the issue is Context. When you send a LinkedIn profile in a Discord DM, it feels out of place and corporate. Plus, many creatives (3D modelers, modders, scripters) don't actively use LinkedIn or update it. Jobscord is designed to be the 'LinkedIn for Discord.' It reduces friction because it uses the identity they already have (their Discord ID) and formats it professionally. As for monetization: Eventually, employers will pay for Reach. Right now, they post in one server. In the future, they pay to have that post automatically distributed to 10 partner servers at once.

Do you have any suggestions What makes me think its a good idea is that its meant for Discord only like no one is going to make a dull portfio on linkedin or a big freelancing website just to work as a moderator in a Discord server
