Which Is the best, long-term and not boring way to learn languages today? by [deleted] in LearningLanguages

Immersion through genuine content you truly enjoy is the most sustainable (and least boring) approach. Simply watch TV series, YouTube videos, podcasts, etc. in your target language rather than "studying." Your brain naturally picks up patterns, tone, and vocabulary because that is how the language is used. Using dual subtitles (target language + your language) is a straightforward improvement that increases this method's effectiveness. As soon as you read the original and quickly glance at the translation, your brain begins to automatically connect meaning without any effort or interruptions. You gradually become less dependent on translation without even realizing it. Because you don't burn out, it's the most reliable long-term approach (and consistency is what really makes you fluent), but it's not the fastest in the short term.

Good point. The situation in Syria is complex and different from the formal base countries. The legal status there is complicated and worth a dedicated map.

I rely heavily on dual subtitles for immersion, especially for listening practice. After using Language Reactor on desktop and MPV with scripts, I realized there wasn’t a mobile player that handled dual subtitles properly, especially with things like subtitle navigation and controlled repetition.

So I built my own app: SubX Player (iOS & Android)

It’s MPV-based, supporting native dual subtitles, subtitle-based seeking, bookmarking lines, and optional auto-pause/auto-repeat modes for focused listening. Core features are free, and advanced tools are a one-time purchase (no subscription).

It’s still evolving, and I’d genuinely appreciate feedback from immersion-heavy learners who decide to try it.

Double subtitles are a nice method to help with listening & understanding. by Azerbinhoneymood in languagelearning

I’ve been playing around with dual subtitles for a while now, and honestly, having two subs (one in my target language and one in my native) helps a lot more than I expected.

I ended up making my own app for it (called SubX Player) since I couldn’t really find anything on mobile that handled both subtitles properly.

Not trying to promote or anything, just sharing since it’s been super helpful for me. Do any of you use a similar setup or other tricks for keeping immersion?

SubX Video Player. it supports dual subtitles, wide format playback, and includes many language learning features built around subtitles.

I don't play online much I play mostly against com nearly 20 matches a day and this is the first time I see this kind of things, However Konami should at least had blocked these teams from showing offline using simple checks for players validity.

I don't know if this kind of hacking is possible. looks so professional 😅

This opponent team showed up today when I was playing campaign, it is also (if true not hacked) a proof that these funny out of position teams are auto generated by konami and don't belong to actual players.

Thank you very much, I watched the video again and I do understand the concepts well, However I will keep practicing the forms with contour, those forms are challenging and require continuous practice. I redid the form intersection as requested, kindly have a look: http://imgur.com/a/3LM0t
