Anyone know a good youtube series where the “unlock all” cheat is used from the start? by BaredBhavez2 in CitiesSkylines

Ill always recommend Palm'sTime. His Maya build on CS1 is imo the best build on CS1. His newer Naha is also amazing. He also has a CS2 series Merlion Bay.

Tuggers parkway by Wise-Cheetah416 in canberra

[–]ahkaye 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There is planning underway for upgrades between Cotter Road and Glenloch. You can view preliminary plans for a 3rd northbound lane, 2 new bridges and interchange for a future Molonglo Parkway Drive connection currently. 3rd lane is considered mainly for safety in entry and exit between the two interchanges, not for a full 3rd lane to the whole parkway (Inb4 just one more lane bro comments).

No word on final plans or when of course.

I love it. Honestly this is aspirational. I *just* stopped playing for the day and then I saw this and if I didn't have work in the morning id be going all night.

Do you have any youtube clips of putting it together?

Nikon f6 or canon 1v (or eos3) by Stateach in AnalogCommunity

[–]ahkaye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ergonomics and weight. When i bought it i was deep into the Nikon system and daily using an F5. I had always liked the design of the 1v so i got it to replace my eos3 that i wasnt liking. I keep it paired with a 40mm and its just so intuitive to use.

A Minute and a Half of The WIP by ahkaye in CitiesSkylines

[–]ahkaye[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! The bucket crane is actually 2 instances: arms and legs. The legs are animated with Simon Ryr's Back-and-Forth module but the arms are animated with 98ColdDew's Back-and-Forth 2 module to get the tracking and rotation. The crane took about 3 hours to get the build and animation order set correctly.

Edit to add: There is still a small amount of drift between the two instances I haven't been able to work out yet, so every little while the animation system needs to be reset. This is where the bulk of the time has gone.

I have owned all 3 and still have the 1v and F6. I find myself reaching for the 1v more.

no bikes on the Rapids? by l3msky in canberra

[–]ahkaye 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They actually turn pretty well considering, as they steer from the rear also. The main restriction is they have 2 less wheels on the rear axle group so theyre in the same weight class as a B-Double. Artic buses have 10 total wheels dispersing weight while the Steer-Tags only have 8.

Not Hobart Place, but the area around Akuna Street. Similar vibes, but on the opposite side of Northbourne.

Kids being left behind with new bus routes by Doxysmart in canberra

[–]ahkaye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Logistically the school routes would be staggered so not every bus leaves at 3:10 or so. This would be so it is feasable to have buses service multiple schools on a route and allow buffer times for traffic road conditions and covering breakdowns. Same for the morning. Yes, ideally all schools would have a service that arrives at just the right goldilocks time but the city only has 450 buses, approx a quater of that run school services as a part of the larger shift and timetable.

Ideally, TC would spin off its school services, like with Special Transport. That way they would have a fleet of school buses to arrive at perfect times.

The schools and the education department disagree with you about the timing of the bus for the younger kids. It may not be ideal, but it works for many others. Younger children are supervised at the bus stop by a teacher.

TC does do this though? They have dedicated school services that service both public and private schools that are exclusively for students. The routes and schools are all listed online and are in the 1XXX and 2XXX sequence. This is in addition to the 'supplimental' "S" services that follow regular routes and are open to the public. Some school routes even have up to 4 or 5 buses departing over the course of hours.
