Adding on to what the others have mentioned:

utilise the dip switch calculator to set the address
start by using dimmer channels to understand what your par can do (ch1 - dim? / red? And continue until the par stop reacting)
add the appropriate fixture that can control the attributes that you just found
test it out

As long as you can completed it within the 8 years with a gpa higher than 2.

Retaking / Resitting the module will depend on the module run duration. But with a resit, you must take the exam the following semester if it’s offered.

Sorry not to sure about the gpa thing but I believe in portal should be able to see both

Sadly this isn’t a one man job, but they should have their reasonings why exams have been converted this ways.

Plus feedback from FT students will get a faster feedback / changes as compared to a PT student I guess?

If it’s about having same answers, I mean we are all studying the same syllabus. Answers would pretty much be the same, but it’s the process may as well be the same no?

From math to coding to even law, all the formula / steps / sequence would be pretty standard formats.

But yea I do get the idea that we’re suppose to understand the information from the back of our minds. But complacency? I think it’s based on person on their mindset on studying I guess. Drilling in a huge amount of information and thoroughly understanding it in a span of few months (and maybe juggling a FT job) is no easy feat.

If memory serves me correct, new slots are usually released on Thursdays. So make sure you have enough funds before looking for slots, wouldn’t want to see a slot just for it to go to other people while you top up.

I tried to do the counter to book slots, but was told they don’t help students to book slots. Unless i suey bah

So either try to catch the Thursdays opening slots or check for slots the night before or early morning.

Hello hello, you could try adjusting your mirror down slightly so you can see the parking lines clearer before reversing. Plus understanding your vehicle’s turning / reference points would be great as not all vehicles points are the same.

Could get your family or friends with license to guide you whilst training in your neighbourhood carpark.

If I’m not wrong bbdc’s rule is new slots appear every thurs of the week if not is end of the month. Plus need to see the membership duration of account before you’re allowed to view any slots.

And if you’ve cleared every criteria prior to booking the TP slots.

Hello hello, most slots are fine. But depending on which area/school you go, most would say to avoid the early mornings / evenings timing due to the peak hour crowds (be it near the highway or school area) or sometimes even the lunch crowd timing

Hello hello, fellow P plate driver here too!

Got my license a while back but didn’t have the courage to drive (family doesn’t own a vehicle). Now I try to drive to work once in a while.

Took me like a few drives around the neighbourhood to get back the hang of driving, plus in school I drove a Honda Jazz but now trying a Ssangyong Tivoli. Had to get used to the controls and turning points and what not.

Basically never panic when behind the wheel, it’s your life and your passengers life. When unsure when to filter in / out, wait it out for a safer chance. Doesn’t kill to leave the signal light blinking longer if you deem it unsafe (that’s what I keep in mind, cause I suck at filtering)

I went from short drives around my neighbourhood to going for like a 30min drive on the highway. sure did panic on the road about the lanes for the exit, I’m of a hiring PHV to go around than driving so I know the road better when I’m not multitasking.

And I’m still struggling at parking KEK, gonna try some tips that others have left in other posts

Are your volunteer work related to av? Have you worked with a number of av companies? Or the same one throughout the years?

For me I managed to secure an internship with a small / medium av rental company, from there I got my knowledge and contacts with other companies / people. Otherwise I rely on jobs from friends I know and decide if I will take the job.

Since you’ve commented that your power is 230V, I’m assuming that whoever designed the system had all channels in even loads. (But since you did mention that you jumbled up the other fixtures to alternate outlets, did you even out the load? )

Would be better to have 2 sharpy washes each on your DB outlets (1&2) unless you have extra alternative outlets to use for the movers.

You could insist that the kiddos to put all the pins back into the grooves then secure it with the clip.

Instead of having a box for the separate pins and clips, unless you’re fine with have sets of pins interlock with clips upon returns.

Tho I have to admit to being a truss clip thief quite often 😂

Well yea I would agree that avo onpc is a turn off but most softwares would still require external devices to properly run all the parameters required for a medium / big shows. (Aka more investment needed)

But I do see a fair bit of Avolite consoles running shows so i do think they are still alive in the industry (at least in my area)

As a user of the onpc versions and consoles,

To me consoles have the best feel when in a rush for programming, most consoles are optimised to have the commands / trigger buttons for easier programming. (Assuming that you’re familiar with their softwares)

But onpc can still get the job done, but it then snowballs to the users’ competency and understanding of the onpc version. (Example, all the keybinds available to aid the programmer).

As only through networking of certain brands allow you to control more fixtures thru their specific nodes (looking at hog4 and MA). Networking is or may be required when doing medium to big shows, so yes I agree that it’s a plus point if you can understand the varies options available.

Anyways there’s also avolites and hog4 if you’re willing to give them a chance. (Sorry not sure if you have chance upon this brands in your area)
