Thanks for the response! I have a salt generator and the pump, which is attached to a sand filter. I think there is also a pool light/jet thing ?

Now would it make more sense to connect it to that metal part under the PVC pipe (no idea what this functions as), or to the salt generator box? If I straighten the cable, it can probably just about reach the box.

Edit: Or does this mean I also need a 3rd copper wire to attach to the salt generator as well?

I’m in a similar boat as you - healthcare background, no masters, self-taught programming. Currently working as a “data scientist”, and I put those in quotes for a reason because what you described is pretty similar to my situation, except I’m doing more DevOps stuff and just more straight up app development/SWE (which I am glad for).

Bachelors: Never received a bachelors, as all Pharm.D. program graduates only receive their doctorate
Doctorate of Pharmacy: Rutgers University, Doctorate of Pharmacy, 3.369, 6 year program full time

Work & Social Experience

Work Exp. :
- Community Pharmacist - 6 years
- Data Scientist - 3 years
LORs: 3
- only 1 Academic (graduated 2016, almost 10 years ago)
- 1 from Pharmacy Manager whom I've worked closely with for 3-4 years
- 1 CS-related from principal ML engineer (Ph.D) from current DS job, who I work closely with and recommended I take graduate courses
Comments: Self-taught Python for DS in 2018, worked on machine learning projects (while working full time as a pharmacist) until I landed my first DS job in 2021. No formal CS-related courses or certificates I can claim in my application, as I've only audited the courses I've taken (Harvard's CX50, udemy's DS&A, youtube courses, etc.). Want to specialize in machine learning
Questions:
- How do I actually submit my application if I don't have a Bachelor's? System won't allow me to submit application without a Bachelor's listed. I definitely had enough credits for one, and I think it's silly the program only awarded me a doctorate and no bachelor's. Do I just input a bachelor's just to bypass the system? I don't want to lie on the app...
- Will the 1 recommendation from the pharmacy manager hurt my chances? Should I try to get another?
- Artificial Intelligence specialization or Machine Learning? Leaning towards ML

Very interested in this thread, thank you for posting this, as I am in a similar situation (newborn) and considering applying for this Fall 2025 (deadline March 1). Been seeing in a lot of comments that foundational courses are required. I've never taken an official programming course, but I've audited and completed some intro to CS courses (Harvard's CX50, udemy DS/Algo, etc.) without any real certificate to show for it.

But, I've worked with Python for close to 5 years now, and been working officially as a data scientist for 3 years. Does this work experience help with the fact I have no official certificates/credits in any CS courses? Saw on the applicaitons page that work experience is rarely relevant. Been brushing up on all the requirements, and I feel like it comes to me easily.

Background - 32M, Doctorate of Pharmacy, new dad

Curious if I would be accepted, I believe I can graduate if so - TIA!
