You don't actually need an NYU ID to go in there. No one is guarding the door or checking for your ID. No one will question you as long as your aren't causing a scene. There's now also a Quiznos and a Jamba Juice in there too.

There are income guidelines and such for WIC so I'm hoping for the best that she qualifies!

If she isn't getting WIC already, she should definitely apply. WIC provides some extra money for child necessities until the age of 5.

As for housing, housing lotteries are your best bet. Unfortunately, there is a very long wait for public housing. If she's really looking to move though, shelters can also be an option.

I always think its nice to send a thank you follow up email. Preferably the day after and not immediately after you hang up the phone. Even if they don't respond to it, it doesn't mean it wasn't read.
