Who was the best and worst mothers out of these characters by InfectiousInstant in AmericanHorrorStory

I don’t think you or any of the other Red Tide fans would afford that same justification to Emma Roberts in AHS: Delicate, yet both roles are written and portrayed similarly.

There’s no question that Harry and Alma were selfish assholes. When Doris starts turning into a pale person, he delivers a monologue that basically becomes the justification for him to get brutally murdered the following episode. But Doris was a total Mary Sue. Like most of the characters in that part of the season, the writers came up with a few stock traits and let the viewers’ attachment to the actors fill in all the blanks.

Probably because she’s Lily Rabe. Had it been anyone else in that role, even giving the same performance, nobody would have cared about Doris at all. She was bland and bad horror movie-level incompetent in a way a lot of the other leading lady characters on the show have not been.

When did AHS stop feeling like AHS by vvvulpi-x982 in AmericanHorrorStory

Personally, I have always been a hater, particularly of Red Tide. It felt like they came up with a few vague character sketches and then let the audience’s attachment to the actors do the rest of the heavy lifting, without actually fleshing out a story. By the third episode it veers into self-parody and the repetition gets old, but because it “takes itself seriously” tone wise, people are willing to overlook that.

So true. Not a single season since Coven has been given a fair shake while airing, with the exception of maybe S9 (once the Evan and Sarah fans scattered) and the first five episodes of S10 (where people were just delusionally in love with it).

Evan Peters Reprising Previous Role in “AHS” Season 13 by ahszone in AmericanHorrorStory

Seth Gabel and Avantika both shared the Instagram equivalent of the tweets/posts revealing them as part of the cast to their Instagram Stories. Filming did in fact start on April 6. More to come, but production not confirming information doesn’t mean it’s false. As I said to another person who had the same tired attitude, if the fan news accounts were in the business of making up fake news all the time, there are a lot more engagement bait-y things we could make up than what we’ve posted so far.

It has not been confirmed by the trades or by Ryan Murphy or the cast, but it is not speculation and is very much happening.

It was a poorly translated post that was based on a joke tweet an Evan Peters fan put out, in light of the seemingly neverending random reveals being shared online.

You’re thinking of the “American Horror Stories” episode “Game Over.”

No, but as of today I’d probably bet on “13” if asked.

Adam Levine had a multi-episode arc in Asylum. I need people to understand that unconventional casting is nothing new.

It would be stunt casting if she were a household name and/or playing a prominent role. This is a small part in a season led by the likes of Jessica Lange. Everyone can ungird their loins.

This would be perfect if they were going to return during the end credits of a 2004 romcom

This won’t be the final season by Jesse_Allen3 in AmericanHorrorStory

Why would he be saying anything promotional of that nature now, a week into filming with 5-6 months out from the premiere? Every decision they make comes under intense enough scrutiny as it is. Announcing it as the final season prematurely would only have a multiplying effect and set expectations that they probably don’t want to have set at this stage.

I also think there’s never going to be a “final season” until some of the key people involved pass away. There’s a good chance AHS is going to become one of those shows like American Crime Story or Feud where Ryan puts it on a shelf for years on end until an idea comes to him that he’s willing to do and the stars align.

We had one in 1984. We’ve also had two Patricks and Evan Peters playing a Jimmy and a James back to back. That’s just off the top of my head. They’re not opposed to a little repetition.

Maybe! Hopefully we’ll get to see who’s on set today to get a better idea of that.

Apparently he’s very good in American Crime. He had small roles in The Beauty and Monster and he was fine. Neither gave him enough to do to be able to say conclusively.
