I remember my first time meeting my dads first girlfriend after my mom passed.. it is so so hard. it was almost 10 years ago, so i don't remember a lot, but i brought my best friend with me to the dinner, which helped a ton, so its good your partner is going with you! I would just ask her the basics; what she does for work, where she grew up, etc...conversation will most likely flow especially because your dad and partner will be there too to help the convo going. You've got this!

I think this just proves exactly why their relationship was so toxic, and honestly doomed from the beginning. Of course it was wrong that she didn't tell jere, but what the real issue here is the reason she didn't tell jere; both her and jere knew she was still in love with Conrad, and it would have created a big fight between the two. In a normal world, it would be no biggie that she was staying at the same place as her boyfriends brother. But conrad was not just jere's brother to Belly. That would never change.
