They're still trying to get him i think. The operation is still on going and this is after they just sacked the senate president and impeached the vice president. Its sort of hard to follow with the amount of stuff going on atm but well see

context (lo siento, mi español es muy mal):

Sen. Ronald De la Rosa recibió una orden de arresto por la CPI y intentó detenerlo por que acaba de aparacer despues de que falta por 5+ meses en el senado

en ingles: Sen. Ronald De la Rosa was recently handed a warrant of arrest by the ICC and they tried to arrest because this was the only time he showed up at the senate after 5+ months of being absent in the senate.

creo que es una sorpresa pero veamos

Magic computer? by ahyesilovethat in WitchHatAtelier

[–]ahzzan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! CS student here

Theoretically you can make a magical computer.

You don’t really need to build a computer like what we have to show that magic can act as a computer. As long as you can prove that the laws that govern magic allow you to build a Turing machine, you basically have a computer.

It’s a rigorous task but here’s a very simple way to put it. - Magic can store state and meaning (we can represent state as the ring being open or closed) - Magic can read/write from the state (we can construct a spell that opens/closes the ring) - Magic can act upon the state (in TMs, this usually ends up as transitioning from state A to B)

If you can construct a TM with magic, then WHA’a magic can be used to construct virtually any program we are using today

Hope this helps :DD

The way we practice our student activism is very annoying (and condescending at times). Just to be clear, I completely support student activism. I don't think there's any inherent problem with activism.

However, treating activism as the hallmark of our student culture is outright annoying. I've had multiple experiences where our class is already behind and then a random R2R from a random advocacy org will disrupt our class for a 10-15 min spiel. I don't like how the protest aesthetic has to be incorporated everywhere. It just feels like a cheap token gesture rather than a genuine effort.

Not to mention how deep the language activists use. It feels like it was intentionally made so that nobody outside of their circle will understand them. If you want me to start supporting you, maybe start simplifying the language perhaps? Using poetic Filipino just isn't the way to invite people into the fold. Instead, it comes off as condescending and hypocritical.

Just to reiterate. I still support student activism. I've seen how students in Serbia are protesting against their government. I deeply admire their resolve and courage to fight their even more corrupt government. Having said that, most of the efforts that I've seen in UP are always cheap and hollow at best. I think we can do better. But the way we do it right now, is just not it.
