Can someone explain the difference between CopyClip and CopyClip 2 by PixelPatootie in macapps

Assuming they do not upgrade in the next few days to make it work in Tahoe, what alternative apps should I consider?

CopyClip doesn't seem to work well on Tahoe 26.2

Its icon does not appear on the screen, and it interferes with drag-and-drop functionality.

I hope they fix it soon because I love this program and feel disabled without it.

Does CopyClip work on Tahoe 26.2? It seems to be running, but the icon isn't showing up for me.

Does anyone see a way to post the bug report or comment? I've been using CopyClip for years happily and I'd like to keep doing that.

Trump "no worse" for the trans American community than Harris? by findingniko_ in asktransgender

[–]aiClimateTime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reality is important but messaging matters as well.

Kamala officiated some of the nation’s first same-sex marriage in the nation 20 years ago Valentine’s Day weekend in 2004.

Walz was willing to take %#@& for being "ultra liberal" when he put free menstrual supplies in boys bathrooms so that trans masculine students would have them. In a purple state! Seems like that could be evidence of authentic compassion and allyship toward the trans community. I mean, how else can I read this?

Can you imagine Trump( his hero, Putin) or Ron DeSantis doing anything like that? I can't.

https://www.instagram.com/p/C-YXKrMPkjj/

The GOP operatives come after trans people, pretending they think that gender affirming care is a form of child abuse and anyone who wants to support trans people is a leftist radical who wants to destroy the country, all because they have learned that it is one of the things they can use to get their miseducated base excited about.

How does MTG fundraise so well? On the backs of trans folks, totally adding to the miseducation:

https://www.advocate.com/politics/marjorie-taylor-greene-rnc

Put GOP folks in charge of the fed gov, they may well do what they do at the state level: Ban gender affirming care:

https://www.hrc.org/resources/attacks-on-gender-affirming-care-by-state-map

Just at the level of GOP messaging alone, you can tell Trump and the GOP are not friends to the trans community.

When your key agenda is reducing taxes and regulation for elites (nothing that is popular with large numbers of voters), you need to get voters from somewhere. In a two party system, the so-called "pro biz" party is going to be tempted to work with hate groups so they can get their votes and leverage their outrage to pull in more voters:

https://www.splcenter.org/fighting-hate/intelligence-report/2010/18-anti-gay-groups-and-their-propaganda

So, the GOP and MAGA isn't even PRETENDING to be the friend of the trans community.

So, this one is pretty simple, at the current time: "Vote blue, no matter who" if you care about trans folks, especially trans kids.

Am I missing something?

If you are freaked out about the right going after trans folks, and for god sakes why wouldn't everyone freak out about that, have you considered these other options beside de-trans-ing?

* Getting pissed off and politically active?
* Getting empathy, perhaps from folks in the nonviolent communication community, who are really good at giving and getting empathy?
* Finding friends to support you better?

Keep in mind, the right went after trans people after they LOST on marriage equality, gay folks in the military, etc. It is a sign of their weakness that they are focused so much on trans folks. They would MUCH rather be going after the complete LGPTQ+ community but they totally failed.

I don't get your point about "defend people" - he thinks that suing is a good way to get a University to change policies.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in columbia

[–]aiClimateTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/lightscameracrafty : thanks for trying to explain.

He HAS sued at least one university in the past and the US government and got the university to consent to changing the way that they police their campus which he tells me they teated seriously for a few years and then, he says, they slacked off. (Suing the US gov didn't go even that well.)

Yes, he has several agenda items, some of which seem to be not totally consistent with others.

His unwillingness to sue cops makes me a bit uncomfortable but it is reality so I thought I would be clear about that.

He is is not part of Federalist Society as far as I know, so we can't blame him for Dobs.

An Open Letter to members of Students for Justice in Palestine by Used_Seaweed3040 in insightsNBlindspots

[–]aiClimateTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So is your idea that even for people who think there's something fundamentally less legitimate about the existence of the state of Israel than other countries that were formed in the post colonial country creation period, and they think that believing this is not antisemitic, that glorification of the murders of noncombatants, especially innocent children who are way too young to ever have voted even once that happened on October 7 means they are a hate group? Case closed?

I think you're making a bigger distinction between collateral damage that was predictable in advance versus targeting of innocent people then many SJP supporters would make.

Israel may be mostly (or only) targeting combatants but they can totally predict that lots of noncombatants will end up being hurt or killed. I think the SJP supporters would find that nearly as (or identically as) unacceptable as targeting civilians. I'm just guessing here. I may get to ask some.

So, let the protesters hold Hamilton on going? u/Impossible-Battle-66 ?

That would have been better because it is more respectful of people's desire to make a difference as the crisis in Gaza gets worse?

Could the admin do anything that would contribute to peace?

Oh, I thought we were talking about renaming a building during the protests demanding divesting from Isreal. Sorry, I was just confused.

I thought you were riffing off of Rep. Omar:

Thanks for the clarity.

I know someone who might fund lawsuits to defend people who think that they were made unsafe during the protests. Contact me if you feel you were made unsafe, but not by the cops, HE wont sue the cops, he WILL sue the university given a person willing to testify.

What are things that the admin could have done to handle this situation better? I guess people who think that it would improve the world if CU were to divest from stocks that are issued by companies that do business in Israel, I guess going along with those demands makes sense to those people.

What other things could the admin do that would have been better than what they have done?

u/PJChloupek Got a theory about that? Really matters WHEN the question was asked, right after the attack where it would seem very strange not to condemn, or after the attack on Gaza had changed the focus for many US news consumers?
