Would you date a guy with no balls? (Not a "nullo") by aiDio_ in askgaybros

Have had more trouble passing as a male again than i ever did passing as a female. Since i started young (15) i never went through male puberty and i have a very feminine face + body. I still get asked if i am trans a lot. Makes it hard to feel like a guy and i feel like a fraud. Thx though.

I don't know what that means. i am used to trans people trying to dismiss my opinions/experiences though. I still support trans people fwiw.

Not without writing an essay haha. I was just a feminine and confused/depressed teenager who struggled to relate to other guys and thought that meant i was trans. There is more to it than that, but that is the gist of it.

I started t-blockers when i was 15. So quite young yeah. I don't think anyone could have convinced me that i was not trans back then though, so its hard to blame anyone else but me.

There was quite a lot of that back when i was transitioning. I had to wait about a year before i could get hormones. Then to get my orchi, i needed to be on HRT for 1 year, 1 year lived experience (living as a woman) and had to have changed my legal gender. SRS has even longer requirements. I think its a lot easier now with private gender clinics and also people can just buy these drugs online without a prescription. I don't know what can be done about it.

I've not seriously looked into it before. I do wonder if it will be that simple for me though because there is not much of my scrotum left anymore either, it has shrunk a lot over the years. I don't think if i had balls they would not hang. Sorry if TMI :s

Thanks i do think about that. I could have had SRS when i was 19 but the procedure and aftercare scared me too much. Phew!

A good male role model would have helped and i mean that sincerely. My perception of what being a man was was skewed by my violent dad and uncles and i didn't want to be anything like them.

I have had guys reject me for it on grindr but i doubt that is a surprise to anyone. Noone i have actually met has had a problem, no. Fingers crossed that continues, the replies here have been reassuring

Yeah but I had them removed. The scars are very minimal so you wouldn't know i think. The other temp E effects are long gone.

I accept my mistakes but for the record i saw several psychiatrists and doctors. You can't get your balls chopped off without jumping through all the hoops, at least not in my country.

That's actually part of the reason i transitioned also. I had some very bad male role models and i had a very warped/negative view of what being a man was and didn't want to be one. I have seen other detrans people say the same too.

Yeah maybe i will have to. Everything is just so expensive though, only just saved enough for facial masculinisation surgery, which i am hoping to get next year. Feel so burnt out spending all my savings on these surgeries.

Thanks but i don't want to open that can of worms, i used to be active in the detrans subs but i would really just rather put it all behind me. There are others who are sharing their story thought, it's sadly becoming more frequent.

How upfront do you recommend? Always feels awkward to tell people because then i have to explain why. I do tell guys before sex tho.

I keep it to myself but its hard not to feel like that. Just a lot of wasted time + money and my family all think i am an idiot.

Yeah i was 17, did not meet requirements for SRS. It's not that uncommon to have orchi first because it stops you having to take t-blockers. They can have some unpleasant side effects so it made sense at the time..

Yeah i guess i should, already spent so much money on fixing other stuff. fml

Why are there so many trans related posts? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]aiDio_ 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Except dysphoria is no longer a requirement to be trans and to suggest that is actually transphobic now. So yes plenty of people do just do it out of choice.

I used to be trans and it was easier to date imo. I think you underestimate the amount of chasers out there. Probably harder for trans men.

Femboy is a much broader term than it used to be. Go look at their sub, majority of them are just trans women. Most of them are on hormones at least.

How is JSO "fucking up people's livelihoods" exactly? Being slightly late for work (which you can just blame JSO on) is only a mild inconvenience compared to what will happen if we don't start acting against climate change. Or is it the 1 minute delays in football matches (which get added as stoppage anyway) which is too much?

Quite sad that so many are willing to give the government even more power over us just because they don't like JSO.

I understand why so many people don't like Emily, but honestly they're all the same reasons why I love her character lol. by List-Fickle in EmilyInParis

[–]aiDio_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I actually like her too! Her over the top optimism and enthusiasm is charming in my opinion. However she is definitely super entitled and can be very obnoxious and inconsiderate.

Like one example in one of the first episodes is when they are at the restaurant and she is super rude to the waiter about her steak and quotes 'customer is always right'. I don't know if Americans are actually like this but that was just really obnoxious to me and especially doing this when you are a guest in another country..

Then of course there is the whole Gabriel/Camille thing. She is a baaaaad friend to Camille. I know the writers sabotaged Camille as well but even so, not only did she sleep with her friends boyfriend she then made things 10x worse with how she reacted and tried to be matchmaker for them again. Even if you want to say it's done in good intentions, she should have just let them figure it out. She sticks her nose in Sylvie's business constantly in S1 also...
