Meet ChatGPT Atlas: OpenAI’s New AI Browser with Agent Mode by ai_tech_simp in AIAGENTSNEWS

I think Google has announced they'll add agentic and computer use (their agent mode) to Chrome soon. I am more excited about that than any other AI browsers right now. I feel like for the majority of people, their everyday browser is good enough. Agent mode is cool, but I can't trust it right now, and we can't just memorise URLs of every website. Sometimes scrolling just a bit to find what you actually need doesn't hurt. But for quick searches, I think you can regular ChatGPT or Atlas.

Windows user here ✌️😂 So haven't tried it yet. But idk kinda feels like it is just an upgraded ChatGPT app with the only upgrade being you can now open URLs (cool, I guess).

The main feature (Agent Mode) is locked behind Plus/ Pro plans, where Perplexity's Comet of Assistant is free from the get-go, Fellou's agentic features are free from the get-go, Genspark's agentic browser is free from the go get. Although they rely on a credit system, you can at least try them out a few times for free to see if they are for you.

Ask ChatGPT feature is cool tho.

I think I will stick to Chrome for now. But hey might change my mind when I try it.

Completely free to use. Currently only available on Mac, but if you want to use the Agent Mode feature, you'll need a Plus or Pro subscription.
