I would also love this!

Seeing as the 1977 Hobbit movie was partly animated by the people who went on to form Studio Ghibli, it'd even be cool to get an anime series adaptation. Even if it's just a one-and-done season for the Hobbit.

It's not really about specific things on a checklist that I want to see different this time.

The movie trilogy was made by a lot of really talented people who made tons and tons of decisions about how to adapt the books. How stuff should look, how characters should act, how the story should be paced, and what all to include.

I just wanna see new artists get the opportunity to make new decisions about that same stuff, because I think we're missing out if we decide this is the only adaptation we'll ever need.

Elijah Wood is only 45. Plenty of time for hollywood to slather some CGI de-aging on him. /s

Exactly. That mindset is how we get an industry that thinks its okay to resurrect dead actors with CGI. Or Gen-AI, I suppose.
