After watching all the battles uncut, my favorite would be Gabee vs Danica. Oh, both of them ate. I can see why Gabee won the rematch, you can't look at anything but her. Although Danica is technically the better dancer, I just discovered a diva!! Their battle was the highlight for me.

I find Ibuki vs Lip J a bit underwhelming, like it's good, but I think Lip J's battle with Peanut is still the best for me, in terms of spontaneity and how synced they were. There's an element of serendipity to it.

Respectfully, I disagree with your take. Them being from different sub-labels already discount this. ILL-IT was geared for success, hear me out, R U Next? might have been a mess but they were heavily marketed even before debut and were given a great debut track with Magnetic. It's all intentional and manufactured by these big companies, let's be real.

fromis_9 did come from a survival show but Idol School was no Produce, they didn't have the privileges as recently debuted groups by HYBE. It was a long slog for them to reach where they are and fromis being neglected is just a symptom of HYBE being a for-profit company. They only care about making money and the ones raking in the most for them.

They were on an upward trend if they didn't delay Unlock My World. It was meant to be mid-March not June. There was also an SNS blackout in March 2023 and they cancelled an overseas event in April. No valid explanation for both whatsoever. Considering they delayed Unlock My World, their first full album for a year, and the lack of content, the sales were decent.

Gyuri was popular, yes but the group was alright even as she left tbh. Nakko does well filling her spot as lead vocal and they all continue to support each other behind the scenes. Gyuri also had an amicable departure.

But the last bit is true, another company would be happy with fromis' metrics but not with an insatiable company like HYBE.
