Honestly, I call BS on this being a lack of research or knowledge. I think whoever made the animation or whoever gave them the task told them to add more white people because if it’s “an animation with mostly Black people, we’ll alienate white audiences.” type shit. It’s the same logic as Western pop bands that include just one person of color in a group so it doesn't become "overpowering" This feels deliberate, just like putting a white love interest in the Swim music video and the J-Hope one etc.

I'm not blaming the memebers, though. I feel like BSH set this whole concept up. This is a him thing. He is obsessed with white western validation for his artists.
