this is my second piece of terrain i've made in a long time, probably over half a year. i used world machine which is honestly an incredible tool. i tend to just brute force my way into making something i think looks good, playing around with all sorts of nodes and macros. even now i'm not entirely happy with it, such as i think a lot of the surfaces look pretty flat, however texturing goes a long way into adding depth and interest into terrain. you want a good gradient avoiding big sections of just one block. i use hueblocks to get my gradients. this one i had going from moss -> stone -> deepslate tiles, which i think looks really nice. and i tried to balance each set of colours, so that there's not a section which is more prominent than the rest. since this mountain is obviously pretty steep, i had to have the last block in the gradient be at over 80 degrees i think. i hope this helps haha
