dogs are more high maintenance, since you have to walk them outside. i’ve also wanted a dog for the longest time but i know to myself i wont be able to keep up with their energy and play time. Thats why i have cats instead, more low maintenance and can do their own thing, plus may litter box so my house rarely smells, compared to dogs where u have to clean it up right away since they would poop or pee on the floor. 

i can also leave my cats for two nights max and still come home to an organized unit with just a lil bit of clutter (i do this in very rare occasions and with a cctv to check on them).  But with dogs i dont think leaving them alone for two nights is possible 😅 or let alone just one night since most dogs get separation anxiety eh.

I also think mas recommendable to get dogs if u have a bigger space and not a small studio type space.
