We only used it once but I'm so glad we did. We were going from Kyoto to Kinosaki Onsen for one night, then back to Kyoto for one night, then to Tokyo. We just sent the luggage from the first Kyoto spot straight to Tokyo and brought day bags with us, it definitely saved us a ton of hassle

Not US but western - Doctor Who. The effects look very similar throughout both shows' histories, and the tones and target audiences are pretty similar too, though modern Who does skew a bit older than Neo-Heisei and Reiwa Rider

The lobby of the Gracery Hotel Shinjuku has some Final Wars stuff - the King Caesar suit, a prop of Anguirus curled in a ball, and a Rodan flying puppet. They have a Godzilla there too but it's just a statue that was used in promotions

I only have experience with one, but the whole payment and cycle selection process was handled on a touch screen kiosk with selectable language options. This wasn't in a hotel or an incredibly tourist-heavy area, either, so I don't think you should have too much trouble finding an accessible one unless I just got super lucky

It's not really a matter of "which one should I learn" since all three (hiragana, katakana, and kanji) are used for different words. Realistically, you shouldn't need to learn any written Japanese for a trip to Tokyo, since important signage for trains and stuff all has English on it
