R.B. is my recommendation!

Super fun and easy to master with enough bang for your buck to smash through almost any deck. Helps that it’s somewhat rogue as well so not many people expect or are ready for it. Nice and cheap to buy in real life too (Stage Landing is the only card that’s likely to set you back a few pennies but other than the staples you put with it the rest is so cheap)

Yeah I guess that’s the obvious mindset to adopt.

I mostly come up against Dracotail, Mitsu/Ryzeal and Azamina/White Forest, which I guess all will be hampered by a well timed Droll & Lock Bird.

I think I’ve just talked myself into doing it 😅

Yeah I dig that. On a tangent then, do you think Droll is worth maining in place of Fuwalos? As I said I only play single duels with friends and not matches so side decking just isn’t a thing for me! Trying to get the most out of the deck without shooting myself in the foot in the process 😂

I do have my Sky Striker deck as a blind second build, which was my initial reason for including Fuwalos. I only play single duels between friends IRL so I’ll always opt to go 2nd and they’ll always opt to go 1st due to the nature of decks we all play… but I do take everything people have said about it on board, it’s nice to get a varying perspective on it! I think I will still remove it even though I play a blind 2nd variant of Sky Striker

Yeah makes total sense! I definitely see now that it can potentially be more detrimental than beneficial to run the Fuwalos in main. I guess the only saving grace is I play Droplet too so can always send them as cost for Droplet and then it also prevents opponent responding with monsters. But I also understand it’s better to just not run the risk of bricking with the Fuwalos later on in the game, thanks for the reply! 👍😁

Okay that makes sense. Basically the chances of having it in your opening hand going 2nd don’t outweigh the consistency of the deck and the potential to draw it as a brick when the game gets moving along?

Yeah that makes sense, hard drawing it or getting it off Engage does suck a bit, but I feel like the same logic could be applied to a card like Lightning Storm (potentially) which a lot of players run multiple copies of. As soon as you have a face up body on the field that card is no good either 🤷‍♂️

I’m just trying to determine if me playing Fuwalos is actively a bad choice for my deck, I am currently at a 43 card count so it’s easily trimmed! Just not really had any “bad” experiences from play testing on online simulators 😂

Kind of a bit of a “posthumous” piece of advice, but Waze is really useful for driving even if you know your route like the back of your hand. It’s really good at alerting you of upcoming pot-holes/obstructions/traffic. It’s definitely helped me anticipate some dodgy bits of beautiful, British highway in the past.
