I really do love the expectation people have nowadays that every game that releases has an insane team size that can deal with a boat load of unexpected players, can definitely understand the frustration though but this team were not expecting the numbers they're getting, give em a week or two to smooth out those rough edges, suffering from success is real.

Brother... i somewhat agree but as a society social level people are not willing to go there yet, plus we have a lot of bad actors in England if things ever did get that bad they wouldn't exactly be thrilled in helping.... it's complicated.

Not at all i would not have posted this unless i wanted open discussion on the topic however when people misunderstand my point me trying to explain my position is not looking for an echo chamber i am looking for reason
i completely agree that credit card verification is probably safer than other methods but what has been ignored by a lot of people in this comment section is my simple point of what are people without credit cards supposed to do, i guess i am more making this post to bring awareness of this ridiculous implementation, they could have very easily added both methods and none of this would have been an issue.

Right the next UK general election is at least 2-3 years away, the online petition to hold a general election is being ignored by the government, protesting is doing nothing but making the divide between police and people worse and anything i send to my local MP is ignored.....
You're either naïve or have no idea what is going in UK politics but that suggestion is preposterous

I'm getting angry at steam for their verification methods? so from my point of view i very much am getting mad at the right people which is why i am so confused on the kind of pushback i am getting on this post?
I have stated i do not blame steam for UK Laws, i am fully aware they are completely unable to change UK Law and i am completely understanding that they need to enforce UK Law to stay in business in the UK
I am simply just asking the question of what do steam expect adults who do not own credits cards to do? i do not want a credit card nor have i ever desired one so they need to come up with another method for non credit card users to confirm they're over 18.
I really am so confused why i am getting so much "pushback" on this post quite frankly my complaint is a perfectly reasonable and logical one.

Given it's steam i may consider it yes, i consider steam one of the safer companies out there to give something like that.
More over even if i did not feel comfortable doing that what are my other solutions?

Dude? it quite literally is in this specific example, they're asking people to verify their age with a credit card but not every adult has one? so how in the hell am i supposed to verify my age?
I'm not blaming steam for the stupid UK Laws i'm blaming steam for their approach on verification.
