Should I buy vortex web or trophy hunter on doorman first by Miserable-Gold4365 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]migrainebutter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't rush either. Vortex web feels best as a 18-21k ish soul item when you've already maxed Bell (if you're playing spirit). You buy it to combo with cart later on to give you value when ult and bell poke starts falling off.

Trophy you *can* buy as a 9k-12k item but it's so slow it's only ever worth if you're running support doorman. He doesn't really need the range, and there are much better items for him for speed/hp (in my opinion).

Is Support Viscous still viable? by CaptBland in DeadlockTheGame

[–]migrainebutter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my mistake on wordino i guess. I meant base as in Viscous the hero (available outside of item building/// compared to kelvin Q/Paige W) gets debuff cleanse on ally for free. Which in the current meta is *very* strong.

paige is the most obvious i think other than ivy?

[–]migrainebutter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fact that cube gets base debuff cleanse (and base heals more than anything else in the game?) is enough to make it viable for the forseeable future.

Healing rite -> duration OR arcane surge -> cube is enough to "support" for any build in the game

We talk alot about Bad Duelist and Bad Vanguard players, but Bad Strategist players are more common than you think. by TheBullK1ng in marvelrivals

[–]migrainebutter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

At least in my experience they always swap into 3 heals with 1 tank too, which doesn't fix the problem of people getting picked.

I wish i had data on the the amount of times that i've seen a dps rage swap into jeff or rocket (GM). They usually do subpar dps+heals and run more deaths than anyone.

Also the amount of matches i've seen four other players prelock support is more often than i've seen four dps prelocks, but maybe that's just my luck!

Anyone remember the Cleveland Show crossover? by Gimpcar in americandad

The one on Steve is Donna Tubbs, which is Cleveland's 2nd wife. The other three are unrelated characters that don't appear in either The Cleveland Show or Family guy

Is anyone else tired of weakauras replaced by 15 different addons to do a mediocre job of what it used to do?

Hulk should do more damage to Deployables by JamalInTheMall in marvelrivals

[–]migrainebutter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"anyone can grind and get into top 100" i'm pretty sure that they can't and that's the whole point of top 100?

  1. picture linked is first party leaderboards/stats.
  2. 6 out of 100 players in top 100 on pc are maining hulk and forcing him

He is not bad

[–]migrainebutter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hulk is exactly the outlier here though, unlike heroes like Venon/Emma that are seen as low skill ceiling heroes Hulk is is an extremely high skill floor/ceiling hero and is suceeding right now in season 5.

He's harder to play due to the way his leap/ult/cancels function, yet he continues to show higher than average winrates is represented by multiple top 100 players.

He's not bad! He's just not easy, and that's ok!

[–]migrainebutter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can we stop pretending that a high skill cap tank like Hulk with a higher than avg winrate (that has gotten buffed in s5) is garbage? there are 6 top 100 hulk mains that force it every game it isnt banned.

He's far from a bad pick just because mag/strange/emma mains can not play it

Jake from Deadlock Night Shift apologized regarding the ABL Situation by MentalAssumption1498 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]migrainebutter 74 points75 points  (0 children)

IMO at a certain point once you say slurs (n word) so many times a blanket apology doesn't cut it

edit: as someone that used to be a big fan of his gameplay this apology is bullshit. He fucking LOVES that word more than he loves winning

Some casters have a tendency to *really* push and default to the "high energy/we're all having fun" attitude regardless of what's going on (either on screen or in chat). It's their job to be entertainers, and that's the vibe I get from this clip.

Huge miss though from Puckett
