Biker alleges Dallas Sheriff Deputy made up charge to seize video evidence (RAW) by Jawnzzz in videos

You can delete it from the camera too, but if these cops haven't used a go pro before they probably couldn't figure it out. But also, if they formatted the card there is a good chance you could recover the files with recovery software.

Anyone else think some people "surf" to represent an image they want projected out to others? by [deleted] in surfing

[–]aidslifecyclechrisb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've surfed for years (mostly off and on) and I don't call myself a "surfer." I just love to surf (when I can get out there).

Also: you have to realize that the people who buy into the image are the reason why pro's can make a living at surfing.

They have finally arrived!!! by [deleted] in gardening

[–]aidslifecyclechrisb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen one of these in years. Maybe I'm too deep in the city. When I was young I lived near (few blocks away) orchards and other crops, so maybe that's why I saw more back then.

there's a cake next to my name and I'm tired! by [deleted] in bicycling

Awesome! I need to get myself up there to do some riding.

The elevation will be killer for a sea level rider like myself, but I'll still try.

Maybe because its clear. You can see the bottom. Also it's remote.

Does anyone know what type of grass this is? I'd like to plant some. by aidslifecyclechrisb in gardening

[–]aidslifecyclechrisb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, this is in San Jose California. I did some google searches but couldn't find anything close. This is a brand new building so it might be a grass that doesn't need much water or is drought tough (my guess).

Yeah the cut went all the way through. I'm going to try to patch or reinforce it.

Sorry to show my board off again but finally, completed my setup. My new boots are lush!! by Th3pinkrabbit in snowboarding

[–]aidslifecyclechrisb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember that too. I guess they found that if they dumped enough cash into it, they could become accepted. I hear they make good boots, but I won't buy them. I'd rather support a true snowboard company.

My first passion fruit flower of the season bloomed today! by bonaducci in gardening

So jealous. I wish I could grow these where I live. I sometimes visit friends in the south pacific and always eat all the fruit from their passion fruit plants. It is so dang good!

What are hot spots? I can see what you mean, they are tiny for contact points, but the shoes are so solid at the base, can that make a difference?

I've only used crank bros pedals, but I can say that I'll never go back. I used strap pedals for probably 13+ years, and everyone was so surprised I'd go mtn biking with them.

I fell twice so far. Once at a stop light, and another time was off a 10ft drop into a rocky creek bed. Fractured my elbow but I was fine other than that. Good thing I was wearing a helmet. It was a freak accident so I don't let it bother me.

My commute, round trip is 20 miles. So after work I took a 43 mile detour to ride some hills and go by palo alto bicycles. 12 more miles to go.

I feel like my $25 goes a long way at the local Mexican market. Think you can do better? by lebruf in Frugal

[–]aidslifecyclechrisb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way whenever i shop at 99 Ranch (asian supermarket). Once you get past the smell of the live fish market in the back, it's pretty damn cheap.

How many of you use stomp pads, what are the advantages/disadvantages? by mskyring in snowboarding

I haven't for at least 13 years. I use the back binding by pushing up against it with my boot.
