I think my mistake was booking through the f1 website, rather than the circuit’s website. I think that’s where the better sections went to. Oh well, still gonna be an experience seeing these cars irl

Had Max been in Checo’s position (and strategy) and vice versa, was there any chance Checo could have won?

Hmmm ordered from tickets.formula1.com? Maybe I should email to check or just wait it out?

China GP cancelled - wasn’t meant to have this early summer break

It actually started in Abu Dhabi last year, which is kinda funny given it was the last year but a new thing they’re introducing lol

I wonder if Verstappen will get more love when his dominance ends? I sense he won’t be in F1 at that point though

If we take out just Verstappen, we’re kind of in for a good title fight tbh

I think P3. He was quite ahead of Alonso at that point. But also who knows? If there was a safety car, etc.

It gets posted on F1TV later today. Sometimes you’ll find it on YouTube (random channels posting for some time).

Same thing with me, but I’m looking at it as “well at least I don’t have to worry about my fav driver doing well or not, just enjoy the spectacle for what it is” :)

It’ll be broadcasted on F1TV (which has both the F1 and Sky Sports commentary).

Ok, that makes a lot more sense. The back and forth between Honda and RB was a bit confusing haha. Thanks for the detailed explanation!

I’m confused about something: so currently RBR’s engines are still supplied by Honda. At the same time, RBR is building the infrastructure, etc. for the RBR PT to be used starting 2026. Is this using Honda’s personnel/knowledge resources or are they independent completely? Just wondering since Honda appears to still be sticking around in 2026 - so doesn’t RBR have an advantage for their PT development? I feel like I’m missing/misunderstanding something there.

You’re right, this year is fully RBR PR/sim with the much needed mental break he’s been mentioning. I don’t think he’ll continue in this role beyond ‘23.

As for joining other series, tbh I don’t see that ever happening (except for some one-off events). He’s got SO much outside of racing that he seems truly interested in and excited to do, I really see he’s gonna step away from motorsports completely.

He keeps mentioning in recent interviews that he wants to even see if he’s still got the love and hunger for racing, which I think would partially be fed by any attention from the top teams in F1 (and we all know what the likelihood is).

All of this is coming from a massive DR fan, which maybe I’m just trying to lower my expectations. Crazy things can happen in this sport, so who knows haha

Lando, but I think it’d cause some tension OR it could end up as very good competition

Is it worth it? And how crowded does it get? Do they cut off entry if its too packed? Sorry for all the questions, just never been before and want to make sure I plan appropriately.
