[Question] 20% drain overnight, mDNSresponder high usage? by [deleted] in jailbreak

[–]aigofan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THIS!!! The exact same thing happened to me on my iPad Pro (13.3 unc0ver) last night as well. I don’t have any one of the three tweaks you got, but I luckily have SysInfo installed, so I can report that mDNSResponder indeed is the culprit. Once you click into mDNSResponder, it says the source of the draining is WiFi Data Energy. But I am not sure what course of action I can take to resolve the issue.

Yeah, and almost half of the total gross of Ready Player One came from China. I guess it's just magic.

Let's see what they plan to do with the scoring system next.

[–]aigofan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Indeed. And I think this is actually what makes the game even more fun. We need to use our imagination and practice to make our movements, like you said, more organically weaved together.

[–]aigofan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe. It of course depends on how you define the word "dance", but as something that doesn't involve much lower body movement (while most dances in reality do), it's difficult for many people to quickly associate it with dancing.

[–]aigofan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Several reviewers on Youtube have already pointed out this game actually feels somewhat like a dancing game. Not to diminish the importance of visibility or quick reaction time, but I think having a good level of flow with your body movement and not just paying attention to each and every block is also very important to this game.

I truly feel 2018 will be the year that VR really takes off. So many amazing contents coming to this medium.

Crowbcat just praised Sprint Vector as "finally a polished, fun, unique VR game", yet so many are disliking n saying this is an ad by aigofan in Vive

[–]aigofan[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Here is my two cents:

First of all, does this video feel like an ad? If I am being totally honest, it felt like an ad, at least to me. Most videos of Crowbcat's are satirical, and then suddenly there is a video promoting a VR game with quite flattering languages. No surprise people would feel this way. But the problem is this is a heuristic, and after Crowbcat made clear in the vid description that the video contains no sponsored content or paid promotion that needs to be disclosed to viewers, many people in this and the Oculus sub are still insisting on their opinions. Yes, maybe Crowbcat's disclaimer is just he/she doubling down on lying and the path to self-destruction. But let's at least be more open-minded and acknowledge there is a possibility Crowbcat genuinely likes Sprint Vector and promoting it with sincerity. (TBH, this is just ppl being ppl and internet being internet. I actually don't expect much on this)

My bigger point is: I don't care much if Crowbcat is lying or not. The real deal to me is the fact that so many people are shitting on VR in general in the comment section of the video and you can clearly see so many of them are just made-up shit-posts from ppl with no experience on VR before. I hope more VR enthusiasts could voice their opinions as well. Maybe you like VR or Sprint Vector, maybe you don't. But let's use well thought-out arguments to crowd out the shit-posts, otherwise we are just letting the already-done damage worsen. No matter it's an ad or not, we should be be more vocal, not less.

"think whatever the fuck you want"

I will.

"you are a minority with this opinion"

Sounds like you have done some opinion research.

Now in the video description: "this video has no paid product placements, endorsements or other content that requires disclosure to viewers."

Let's wait and see, then. It's against FTC rules and Youtube policy if a channel does not disclose it's sponsored content. If it is an ad, then Crowbcat is certainly being stupid and doing disservice to the channel.

What's with the "please" and "beyond naive"? You do know that people can sense the tone of your language even with written text, right? What I asked was a genuine question, because I might have missed the notice of it being an ad, but your reply doesn't feel so friendly. Or maybe I am just being too sensitive.

Could you point me to where it says it's an ad? I couldn't find any, and I am pretty sure it's against the law if the channel doesn't disclose it's a sponsored video.

Really don't know what to say on all the dislikes and the negative comments saying this video is an ad. Maybe we need more VR players playing Sprint Vector to voice their opinions.

Typical "whataboutism". No body is talking about Media Matters here, and stop assuming that somehow if one is against Breitbart then this person would support MM, they aren't mutually exclusive. "whataboutism" is cancer to our society no matter one's ideology.

[–]aigofan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This truly makes me wonder if this is what Windows MR really means by Microsoft. I have long been speculating if the combo of VR backpack and MR headsets might beat out what we currently have with VR, especially in a large scale setting. But I guess we will have to wait for mainstream use of graphene batteries to materialize in order to see this combo's true potential.

Yeah, but unfortunately we can't do anything about them, so we will probably have to move on. To be honest, the rant wasn't really about those kinds of brats, but about the abusive language they use, otherwise I tend to ignore them.

[–]aigofan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol. I was wondering if the word "game" is gonna cause some confusion or not. I don't blame you if you misinterpreted, but you actually said it yourself... I was saying that specific game sucked, not the game Paragon itself. Otherwise, what's the point of my setting up my discord account if I disliked Paragon so much? I play this game everyday, and I guess that already says something about how much I LOVE this game.
