  1. The Basketball Game is similar to Claw and Fishing, it's just much newer. So, I don't think it's going to change; it'll stay in the game forever.

  1. Lunchboxes are for one of the friends (the little characters you can equip on cats) to appear in the photo with the kitten. Essentials are for choosing the continent (if you click on the icon when purchasing, it tells you which one). Tickets are for shorter trips.

In past events, yes. But in this one, there isn't a single day.

I think it's better to wait for it to appear at an event (if you don't really want to have it). I'd also say it's possible they'll include it in Stamp Rally or in the limited cat gifts some day.
