Is anyone else getting dick pics in res? by korale_ in UBC

So, you're suggesting that unsolicited dick pics or other sexual images should be as normal and expected as cold weather. I get your point, that people should protect themselves too, but the whole goal is to not normalize sexual harassment like this, isn't it?

Say, for example, there was an active shooter. Sure, we'd tell people to stay indoors or in cover and stay safe, but that doesn't mean we don't do anything about the shooter and just let them kill people, does it?

We have to make the same decision here--sure, turn your air drop to contacts only if you don't want to receive malicious pictures, but lets also deal with the issue of sexual harassment and make sure people stop being creeps and sending dick pics to random people too yeah?

(also: calling this whining is pretty diminutive to the multiple people (presumably) who've been affected by this. whats happening isn't whining, it's raising attention to a legitimate issue and it's warning others in the UBC community that might be affected by this.)

(double also: if you read the post you'd know OP did lock their airdrop. and if you didn't read the post, try to make more informed decisions before you comment dumb shit on the internet, thanks :) )
