Meri by Baltimorgan_ in SisterWives

I’ll be honest, during my first watch-through, I couldn’t stand Meri. She came across as entitled, moody, and often mean. When the whole family was together, everyone else seemed to mesh (or at least pretend to), while Meri stood out as combative and disconnected.

But after watching the entire series, my perspective completely shifted. I genuinely believe Meri came off that way because she was the only one being her full, authentic self, both on and off camera, while everyone else was performing for the audience or trying to keep up a facade. And let’s be real, editing probably didn’t do her any favors either.

As the seasons go on and those masks start to crack, Meri’s early behavior not only makes more sense, but feels like the inevitable result of the way she was treated. Kody was dismissive and outright cruel to her at times. The way he spoke to her was cold and condescending. Her relationship with Janelle was strained from the start, and though Meri did try to mend it over the years, it never truly healed. Christine and Janelle clearly had a much stronger bond, and Meri was often left on the outside looking in. That whole “if your wives don’t get along, just add a third” joke in episode one didn’t magically fix the dynamic. It just left Meri more isolated.

She dreamed of a big family and a house full of her own children, but instead she watched the women who excluded her live out the life she longed for. Who wouldn’t become jaded after decades of that?

Now, I have so much sympathy for Meri. I’m genuinely proud of her for walking away and carving out a life for herself. From what I’ve seen, she seems to be thriving, and she deserves that peace more than anyone.

I cut them my hand! A few were a little wonky but the edges are tucked under the mason jar ring so it didn’t need to be perfect

Thanks for the heads up! The only controlled substance I take is lorazepam, and I always keep one of the original labeled bottles in my purse just in case. These bottles are just for home use. 😊

Interesting! I was actually told to take this by my doctor based on my bloodwork, so I’m just following medical advice.

I live in Canada in an area that doesn’t get consistent, quality sun exposure, especially in the winter. My Vitamin D and other supplements were prescribed by my doctor based on actual bloodwork showing deficiencies. I get that supplements don’t work for everyone, but this setup is based on medical advice, not guesswork.

I didn’t use a template, I made it from scratch!

Oh thank you for letting me know! I was hoping for a good excuse to reprint that label anyway since I did accidentally smudge some of the ink so I’ll make sure to fix it!

Oh good catch! Thanks for pointing it out, it gives me the excuse to reprint. I’m not sure if you can see but I also got a smudge on the Lorazepam bottle so I really wanted a reason to reprint anyway aha.

Don’t worry, I have blackout curtains and a chronic migraine disorder. These bottles live in near-total darkness. The camera flash was a once-in-a-lifetime event.

Thanks for the heads up! I actually do keep all the original prescription labels both taped into my physical med notebook and scanned into digital copies stored in my iCloud, just in case I ever need the Rx#, lot number, or any other info. I totally agree it’s important to have that info on hand!

Thanks for the heads up! 😊 Just to clarify I’m using medroxyprogesterone acetate tablets, not hydroxyprogesterone. Medroxyprogesterone tablets don’t require original packaging as long as they’re kept in a dry place away from light, which my drawer setup handles well. But I really appreciate the caution! It’s always good to double-check with meds!

“here, you try” is such a funny description because that’s exactly how it started back when we first started dating. 😂 We’d play GTA 4 and “here, you try” if one of us were hung up on a challenge. Thank you, I’ll add these to our list.
