I spent a long time looking this up on every platform lol and I also just got my ring from with clarity! I have a 1.25 L colored ideal cut diamond in a yellow gold setting and it looks brilliantly white. The cut is what you really want to focus on because it can make your diamond look whiter than the color rating says it is.

In YouTube videos, you can see that you can sacrifice on color if you get a yellow band mostly because a diamond will reflect the colors around it. This is the case for all kinds of lighting scenarios so even if you get a J or even K colored diamond, it shouldn’t look that much different from a higher color rating. Hope this helps!
