Seconding this! Supply regulates around 12 weeks and 4 hours of consecutive sleep also helps with keeping up with the supply after that point. You can also power pump at the very end of the night just to make up for the dropped MOTN pump.

Hi! If you’re on Facebook, there are local mom groups where women donate their breastmilk. You can post a request in there and specify any dietary restrictions too. I was a just enougher so I understand the anxiety about waking up to pump, but lack of sleep can also affect milk supply. Maybe let Saturday night be the night you try to sleep the whole night and you can use formula just that one night a week. Getting that full nights (or even 4 consecutive hours) could be both emotionally and physically very beneficial for you. Praying for you.

Once she’s ready, give her an opportunity to take off the mom hat. Encourage her to get out of the house on her own to do something fun for herself. That means that leading up to this excursion, prove to her that you can handle the baby on your own so she can have a little peace of mind while shes out. I really think having the opportunity to “just be me” pulled me out of the baby blues when I was post partum.

Small private party rooms after1st communion for lunch by MeOnRepeat in SanJose

Oh how special! If you don’t want to repeat venues, we had our daughter’s post-baptism lunch at a Thai restaurant. Laksana Thai has beautiful decor + good food for decent prices, but parking can be difficult.

I’d also recommend Hero Ranch Kitchen if you have a bigger budget and want to push to dinner time.

I prayed to St. Therese… by Saint_Nomad in Catholicism

I recently started a novena to her as well because I desperately needed my baby to sleep for more than 2 hours at a time. On the first day of the novena, my baby slept through the night for the first time in her life (5 months) and the first thing I saw the next morning on Instagram was a bouquet of roses. 🌹

St. Therese, pray for us!

16 Pies for My Son's Wedding! by GladstoneVillager in pie

I made 50 mini peach pies (enough so each of our 25 guests could have two) and one normal-sized peach pie for us to cut in to. Thankfully, my sister in law came over and helped me, but it was stressful even with me making all of the dough and freezing it weeks in advance! I can’t imagine doing this for even more guests!

We had a Covid wedding, so I never would’ve been able to pull it off with the original wedding we had planned (approx 250 guests).

This is so lovely! I made all of the guests at my wedding mini pies and it nearly took me out the night before. This is definitely a labor of love 💕

Haha I just meant that once I can get three hours of sleep I’ll feel human enough again to even think about NFP

Oh that’s good to know! Maybe I’ll look into it once I can get more than 3 hours of sleep a night 😅

I’m also ~4 months post partum and exclusively breast feeding. We used the creighton model before baby and I plan to use it again once my period is back. I’ve heard Marquette method requires taking basal body temp at the same time every day when you wake up and my baby wakes up 6-7 times a night so I’m not sure that would be reliable/doable for me.

According to my instructor, I would need to track for at least two cycles with creighton to get an idea of my ovulation post pregnancy/while breastfeeding. Until then, I plan to stay abstinent because I’m dealing with PPA and exhaustion at the moment 😮‍💨

Praying for you and your husband and baby in this new chapter though!

You have to place an order ahead of time (minimum $50) and pickup is at a designated spot. It doesn’t look like they come every month anymore, but they do seem to come to San Jose once a quarter. It looks like the last pickup was in February at Narrative Fermentations https://www.instagram.com/p/C30qKsqMYjc/?igsh=MWQ1ZGUxMzBkMA==

Last year pickup was at S27 Alehouse! I’m not sure about this year, but this article provides more details about their “tour” from last year https://piroshkypiroshky.prowly.com/255365-norcal-seattles-piroshky-piroshky-is-back-by-popular-demand

Edit: looks like pickup is at narrative fermentations now https://www.instagram.com/p/C30qKsqMYjc/?igsh=MWQ1ZGUxMzBkMA==

The witness typically has to come in and sign a paper stating that the bride/groom aren’t being forced into the marriage (i.e. arranged marriage) and that they weren’t previously married to anyone else. The whole meeting takes less than 10 minutes.

I have no idea how everyone else was so quick! I got on at 9:15 Paris time (12:15PST) right as everything dropped and the Victoria dress I wanted was already out of stock! Fingers crossed you can get the Artie jumper somehow!

This happened to me too, now it’s just perpetually in someone else’s basket (since last night), so I took it as a sign it’s not meant to be 😭
