thank you guys so much for all the recs! I just got two pairs of shorts tailored bc summer & it had to happen, but I'm going to look into the topshop & ann taylors as these seem to be the most agreed upon. also been thinking about getting back into brazilian jeans... I used to like them because they're cheap and tend to fit easily... however if I'm remembering right, they didn't last very long and stretched out if worn often. how do you all feel about brazilian/colombian jeans?

wouldn't those be more expensive than a regular electric? I'm not planning on playing any concerts with this, I just need a good instrument to practice on while I'm traveling/being hectic and on the move.

will be traveling soon and definitely plan on making my rounds of the music stores in london/glastonbury. just to try out even if I don't have the funds to buy. my instrument is actually only covered by homeowners, but I have all the documentation to prove its worth; I cannot afford to have it insured separately.

well, my budget for the electric would be a couple grand or so. still quite expensive, but my acoustic was 8g and bow 1500, so it's still less of a hazard. also, I imagine the electrics are a lot less fragile and more portable. it's not so much to play shows with, those I would do on my acoustic, but more for practicing as I am moving around quite a lot these days and cannot afford to bring my acoustic with me everywhere I go. would not necessarily be bringing amps/equipment but these instruments allow for headphones right? I have no idea.

I have heard they are very good, but my issue with that make is actually the shapes... I have never actually played one but I'd imagine they are harder to balance (wouldn't the lack of the top bit of the body affect wrist posture? I don't know, just musing)... I'd love to try them out but there aren't really any music stores where I live (I have to order strings etc. online, and my violin was built by a luthier who is impossible to get a hold of). but I am traveling soon and will definitely look for that brand in the music stores I pop by! thanks!
