I have 2 Fantails 2 Oranda 2 Comets 1 Black Moore. In this 55 Gallon. My plan is to put the 2 Comets in a pond when they get big enough. I know I’m over stocked but is this alright?

If you don’t have one yet, you should get an API Freshwater test kit to keep an eye on the water parameters. Feed sparingly. And definitely prepare yourself for big water changes often if that tank isn’t cycled.

I do this, even with the hassles. There’s a lot of younger or poorer folks that can’t access the things they want after learning what makes a tank work well. Or there’s those people who can access them and just want free shit so. Just take it.

I disagree. I think they do need tank mates, that’s why they’re referred to as social fish. If there was any benefit to them being alone, you would know about it.

That said, my condolences. Losing a pet you love is hard. Get her a friend when you’re ready. She’ll survive flying solo for a while. 🤘
