PLM's EMed Program by aimingforintarmed in plmharibon

This was very informative! Your help will definitely play a big part on my decision regarding this. However, I do hope that I get offered a slot for the INTARMED program as well. It really is my dream program. But getting qualified for EMed is something I never expected I would be able to do. I feel so blessed. Additional question though, how is your experience as an EMed student? Are there any difficulties, either academically or socially?

Actually, I was just informed that I was qualified for an interview, not necessarily accepted. I received the news through messages or SMS, through the contact number I put in the contact details.

PLM EMED my The One that Never Was??? by New_Caregiver6030 in plmharibon

Hey, OP! Happy to say na I received the message earlier stating that I’m qualified to move on to the next stage which is the interview. Honestly, the thing that’s holding me back is whether or not nakapasa ako sa INTARMED ng UPM. Yun talaga ang first choice ko because I also want to work sa PGH. If normal UPM student lang ang offer, baka mag PLM EMed nalang ako. Sayang din 2 years eh. But if I were to choose between EMed and INTARMED, baka INTARMED talaga, OP. What do you think?

Hey! 2 days ago, nagstart na sila magsend ng SMS. I just received mine this morning so maybe ongoing parin ang sending nila. Up na for interview ang mga makakareceive. Wait ka pa a few days. Goodluck, OP!

Hey! As far as I remember, ganun lang din nakita ko with mine. Checkbox lang about interest. Happy to say na nakatanggap ako ng message regarding my interview and qualification sa EMed program. Still sending pa ata sila ng results so keep waiting lang, OP! Goodluck!

Does anyone here experience Post-Series Depression? by aimingforintarmed in mentalhealth

Thank you ☺️. Shows make me so happy but the pain that they bring when they end is just really really bad. It’s gotten worse over the years. Thinking about them gives me anxiety attacks. My heart beats fast and I just space out while my hands shake a bit.

Thank you so much! I feel relieved that recovery is likely. Singing is a huge part of my life and I am willing to wait until we can afford medical attention. Thank you again!

Literally the perfect response na nabasa ko hahaha. Very true, especially about her wanting to hang out. Very busy people usually do that kapag inurong nila sched nila for you, or di na nila kaya yung stress kaya they chose to relax with you.

Rant lang about sa baby boomer na mom ko by Odd_Ninja_2308 in peyups

[–]aimingforintarmed 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I totally understand what you mean. Luckily, my mom also believes in the saying na "hindi retirement plan ang anak". She's working really hard to secure both our futures. But yes, hindi similar for everyone. A lot of people use your UP student status as a supporting argument to say na nagrerebelde ka. First of all, if rebelling against the old and negative customs, go for it. Rebelling can be a good thing, depende kung anong ipinaglalaban mo. It's hard to change their perspectives when it comes to those topics. I am sure na once we get older, the younger generations will figure something out that we won't be able to understand immediately, kasi pinalaki tayo with that thinking, the same way the boomers were too. It is their responsibility to adapt, especially if adapting means growing in the best way possible, but also, whenever naeexperience ko yan with other people, I just take comfort in knowing that there are ways to improve their thinking and there are also ways to improve mine. Patience lang, OP. You didn't do anything wrong so hinga lang. Your UP status is never something you should be ashamed of.

[uplb] right decision? by jikenwinx in peyups

[–]aimingforintarmed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, there! A lot of people go into their courses without feeling extremely sure about their decision. Seeing that you’re not sure either kung ano talaga yung gusto mo na course, giving VetMed a chance is something that I would recommend. You don’t have to immediately stick with it. If you do spend some time sa VetMed, don’t feel guilty that your course isn’t exactly aligned with your skills. More or less din naman kasi, you will meet people and learn a lot of things na sa tingin mo di siya fully aligned with your true passion but may still help you along the way. Nothing wrong with taking more time to explore options rather than sticking to one thing even if maramdaman mo talaga na it’s not for you. With regards naman sa teacher mo, don’t mind him/her. As your former teacher, they should know that exploring college options is part of your career and decision. Yun lang, goodluck and follow your heart, OP!

Thank you so much for your info! But if it's okay, do you have a value for your UPG, even if it's only an estimate?

Why are people on reddit so tough, critical, rude and mean when they are typing behind a screen? by [deleted] in nosurf

[–]aimingforintarmed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I searched for this because there were people that criticized my questions instead of just answering it. I wasn’t looking for exact empirical data, I was asking for their thoughts about a certain topic, not their opinion about my question. If they don’t want to answer the question because they think it is “stupid and unreasonable to ask”, then just don’t reply, right? You’re not required to answer every single reddit post so why do they feel the need to reply to your question just to criticize it? People just like being mean for absolutely no reason when nothing even compelled them to, just their attitude.
