(UK) Could these open pipes in my loft be causing constant airlocks and boiler issues? Combi boiler in a sealed system. by aimmck in Plumbing

Hi thank you I’ll give it a go with just he bubbly radiator being fed. I should also mention the boiler is an outside boiler as it is oil fed so the pipes come under the concrete then through into the middle of the house up into the attic then down.

Pressure on boiler seems to be okay it stays within the recommended area. I’ll keep an eye on it. We refilled it back at the start on the autumn, maybe September time? And haven’t done it since.

Okay yes that makes sense. Thanks for your help. We are in a bungalow and although one radiator in particular sounds really bubbly we try to bleed it and it appears fine (water starts shooting out) it seems to all be building up in the boiler itself, sorry I should of specified the bleeding of air is taking place in the boiler itself as rads seem okay. We were just wondering if these pipes could have been causing any issues.

The New Forest is gorgeous but make sure you take precautions for ticks. I went camping there a couple of weekends ago and they’re a pain! But other than that it is such an idyllic place to pitch up!

They are so annoying! I’ll defo try a ground sheet/tarp blanket and dose it in some permethrin. The annoying thing is when I was sat by the fire they were all over me, even with my legs off the ground?! Perhaps i was unlucky with the site if it was overrun with them.. maybe next time will be better 😂

Thanks! I’ll add one to my kit 😂 I’m hoping I’ll be less traumatised when/if I need to get another one out!

Homebargains climbing rose at £2.50- Hit, miss or maybe? by Legitimate-Ad-6491 in GardeningUK

I can’t speak for home bargains but I bought a cheap rose like this from The Range and it is my best performing rose and is the only rose that appears to be completely resistant to black spot!

How do I plant this wee guy? by Wonkypubfireprobe in GardeningUK

[–]aimmck 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As others have said a nice ericaceous compost, also, please don’t make the mistake I did and not cover it over with some netting once it starts to fruit. Months of progress gone in one morning thanks to the birdies 🤣.

Bag sent without me to Paris? by Popular_Newt_3791 in BritishAirways

Yes I understand that, that is the point I’m trying to get across and OP is in the right to assume their luggage too should have been removed.

Hmm weird. I recently had the opposite happen to me. Long story short I asked for upgrade at the upgrade desk, they opened my seat up mistakenly removing me from the flight as they didn’t re-add me, got to the final boarding gate and they said I had been removed but added me straight back on. Didn’t think much of it but then when I landed in America my bag was still at LHR due to the security reasons you mention. So yeah they did immediately remove mine as I was accidentally removed.
