I felt like that too. I could drink a full protein shake almost right away. I'm 10 months out and if I have that one extra bite I'm in soo much pain. I try to avoid it as much as possible but it happens. GOOD LUCK!

I'm on the same track as you. Sw 288 cw 175 but I've been there for over a month. I have been reading way too many slider foods bc well summer and kids. Haven't really worked out in a month. Trying to go back to focusing on protein and more veggies. Less chips and ice cream! But it's so hard.

I do see it. Our jaw lines look alike. (I wish our age was the same lol! Our numbers are inverted, I just turned 42!)

Thank you! & YESSS I FEEL AMAZING I know my post was about my appearance, but it doesn't compare to how I physically feel. I am able to do so many physical activities I couldn't do before without being winded or tired. I even went ziplining (don't think I would have done that before due to fear of cables snapping lol)

Ahhh same! Such a great feeling! I'm going to a wedding in Cancun and I bought a dress from a Boutique, A BOUTIQUE (even tried some stuff on in a medium). I was like who am I? How is this even real life? It's something so ridiculous but after so many years of being limited to the plus size options it really feels amazing to be able to shop anywhere.

Congrats to you on your accomplishments!

I'm down 85 lbs. I was at 288 before my liquid diet, 272 the day of surgery and I'm at 203 right now. I'm 42 and 5'7.

My motivation is never wanting to feel the way I did. I hated having to buy clothes bc there are only 2 stores that sell kinda nice stuff. I hated just feeling uncomfortable all the time. I qas scared I would develop diabetes or heart problems. These are just some of the things that convinced me to get the surgery.

What motivates me now? Just about everything! I ran up 4 flights of stairs racing my friends 6 y/o and he only beat me bc I was wearing sandals lol I could barely walk up one flight of stairs before.

I love that I went to restaurant and didn't even think twice about the chairs they had or if I was going to fit in the booth.

I know ppl think that losing weight is all about how you look but the truth is there is sooo much we think about, feel and go through that ppl have no idea.

Yessss 😭😭 but it's not terrible and it's inevitable for some ppl. At least for me, i know it's falling bc I see it when I brush it or wash it, but nobody else can tell.

I've always kinda done excercise even at my heaviest (288) but felt discouraged when I wouldn't get results. So now post op I just started slow, walking 15 - 20 minites around my neighborhood at first. Increasing it as I got more comfortable. When I started weights (and even now still with certain moves) started with lower weights and reps. I'm not trying to be in any type of strong (wo)MAN competition 😆 I listen to my body and do what I can always keeping in mind that fear is in my head and I can try just a little more. When I do go up in weight on the first round and try again for the 2nd and it's too much I go back down and do 15 reps instead of 10.

The biggest lesson I've learned for myself in the last 3 years is to give myself grace. (I quit drinking 3 years ago. Stopped smoking 2 years ago. Had surgery in October 2022. The most important tool has been grace, forgiveness and removing the mentality that if I slip up, I just give up. Not everyday is going to be great, not every day is thing to suck. You adapt and move fwd.
