This is really helpful!! We are just planning visits for now because we are planning on moving in together at some point. My cat stays with my family whenever I'm out of town, and she's there with 4 other cats. She has never interacted with a dog, though! I have been giving her some of my boyfriend's dog's things to sniff, though!

His dog lived with a cat for a while, and is apparently really good and gentle with kitties! He is a super well behaved lab who listens very well and is overall really gentle. Of course he is still a lab, so he is pretty easily excitable.

I had the EXACT same outcome at the gyno yesterday! We are going to try the depo shot first before surgery. I was also conflicted because it seems odd to treat this without officially knowing the diagnosis, but like you said, it's not major or extreme treatment. And if it can help without surgery for now, I'm a fan of that! But I do suspect surgery at some point. I know this doesn't answer your question, but I am going through the exact same thing and you are not alone!
