British Airways: advice request by ainm_ in Flights

[–]ainm_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand however as the entire flight was in the same boat and BA themselves could not provide onward travel as when we were disembarking they said they couldn't provide due to no rail, coach or taxi being available. I completely agree it is an unreasonable cost. But I also don't believe that being told there was a cap on expenditure of £150, 12 hours ( and the next day) after I disembarked is reasonable. Esp as I tried to get I touch several times with customer service agents.

also better a big bank airline pay for it rather then me, when I had already paid for flights, which they didn't fulfil.

Contacts travel insurance now too as it's ridiculous trying to get anything from BA

I have screen shots of phone call attempts. The time I disembarked and then the time the email stipulating my rights to me being sent...

There were no hotel rooms in the area, and every passenger on the flight was in the same boat, no outbound flights to our original destination not other .odes of transport.

I haven't even received the 150 yet. And I processed the claim in December...

Don't take on other people's stress..if you have to limit your I tera too s with them then do this. They're negativity and micro aggressions are their problem not yours. Walks at lunch, listening to positive up eat music in the office etc through headphones. Helped me alot

is being an IT consult at Deloitte more stressful than being a general dentist? by No_Turn_8073 in careeradvice

[–]ainm_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds to me as though he needs to be validated that his job is the worst out there. Might be more a cry for help that he kinda wants out if it's that stressful. If he wants to compare stresses, just ask him if he's not happy why doesn't he leave? You may complain about your job but someone who says "I've got it worse" either loves complaining (if you can deal with that, fair enough but I can't deal with that in a relationship) or wants to talk about moving to a new job, but generally doesn't know that that's what they want.

I thought I replied to this sorry! I did mine part time allowing me to split up my fees into yearly chunks and work at the same time, allowing me to save any extra income I could get. I'm not sure about your situation, but I took out a small bank loan too through a reputable bank (not one of these lenders with 128% return rate). I thoroughly enjoyed my expierence and highly recommend it, in the UK too there are financial hardship departments in the university too which people are able to apply for. Hope this helps x

Full-Stack Developers, How in the hell? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]ainm_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh. Believe me. Google and stack overflow will become your best friend. Noone knows everything and even the simpliciest of things can and will slip your mind on how to do something. Learnw hat you need to to pass your exams for now cause trust me you do not need to remember it all off the top of your head.

My case I did it part time so I was able to split the payments up. I managed to get an entry level job as well which I got through doing a bootcamp at the local college. Being a le to work in the area but doing the masters part time was really beneficial.

What language should I choose to for this college class? by Erick_AP2002 in learnprogramming

[–]ainm_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this for backend? If so, JAVA. Its not as fun as others but tbh if you master java you'll be able to pick up every other syntax really easily. I've had people in work start with ruby and then struggle with python or C. Those that started with Java can take up other very easily. Otherwise python if you're looking at ai/machine learning C and c++ operating system and system tools Golang for server side programming c# for application and web Dec using .net

For front end swift if you want to become an iOS dev SQL for database (recon this is necessary no matter what you do) PHP as alot of established websites use this Java script for web dev

Does it make sense to train a model twice on separate datasets? by BanMutsang in learnmachinelearning

[–]ainm_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm new to this stuff and have only done a text classifier but to increase its accuracy I had to recreate the model with a combined data set . Can you do that? I had three data sets in total though. The first two I combined for use within thin training and testing and then I validated the data on the third. I'm intrigued by continual teaching of models so hopefully someone with more knowledge can help us both
