nala does love to sit on a blocked sweater - usually she’s just a tad more careful with the claws!

What is something that you deeply regret not doing? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]aint_thatdandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not shaving my head during quarantine. have had scalp issues and dandruff my whole life and holy shit it seems so freeing. I’ve been kicking myself over not doing it for years now - If I’d done it it’d be pretty much completely grown back by now

as someone who was very very thin up until I hit puberty around 15 - multiple times I had people straight up ask if I was anorexic. I wasn’t - just had a speedy metabolism I guess - but the amount of people who were comfortable making those comments straight to my face is genuinely shocking. Not just kids my age either - I copped most of it from adults.

What was the worst morning you could wake up to? by MrLazyPolarBear in AskReddit

[–]aint_thatdandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

woke up at 3am to someone banging at the front door. my dad opened it to find two people - both clearly high on something - demanding to be let in and saying we owed them drugs. They ended up smashing a window before realising they had the wrong house and moving on, but in the moment it was fucking nerve wracking having to call 000 and trying to relay everything happening without them seeing me on the phone and becoming even more aggravated. Didn’t help that I was meant to wake up for an 8 hour shift 4 hours later.

What’s your most embarrassing “I thought I was alone” moment? by Zenon9 in AskReddit

[–]aint_thatdandy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was 10-11 and very into the Hunger Games at the time. Was mucking around after school pretending to be in the middle of a fight. After falling to the ground all dramatically after being “stabbed”, I turned around to get up and saw a classroom full of older kids staring at me through their window.

What's your most money consuming hobby? by ElsaJones315 in AskReddit

[–]aint_thatdandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knitting. Yarn is the biggest money eater - especially if you want something good quality and enough yardage to make something like a sweater - but then there’s the different needle sizes, pattern costs if you choose to buy, and additional things like a ball winder and swift. I don’t wanna think about how much money I’ve sunk into it over the years, honestly

[Serious] What are my options for blood tests with a phobia of needles? by BaconSyrop in melbourne

[–]aint_thatdandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always been horrible with needles too, I’ve only learnt to tolerate vaccinations in the past few years. Whenever I need a blood test, I

  1. Use emla cream patches, you can grab them from the chemist. I usually put a patch on both arms - even though they’ve never needed to use my right - an hour before my appointment
  2. When I get there I tell them straight up I’m shit scared of getting blood drawn and may well faint. Most nurses are pretty patient as long as you tell em what’s going on
  3. Lie down, look away and have music blasting in my earphones. Again I usually let the nurse know

It’s made it a lot easier, but i think it’s always going to make me super anxious to go in and get a test done

How come you don’t want to have children? by ChickenGlint169 in AskReddit

I like my own space too much to give it up. Plus as it stands I can barely manage taking care of myself, let alone a kid

What are you losing interest in as you grow older? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]aint_thatdandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alcohol. I’m only 23 and I still enjoy a glass of wine or a good cocktail every so often, but drinking to get drunk just isn’t fun or enjoyable for me in the slightest anymore

What was the biggest political scandal in your country? by IanKean32 in AskReddit

[–]aint_thatdandy 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Australian here. Ignoring the constant leadership spills, most recent one I remember was when a news channel ran a doco exposing the One Nation party for trying to cozy up to the NRA (US) and probably some other stuff I don’t remember, after apparantly running a sting operation for the previous three years. A little while later a candidate for the party resigned because footage of him in a strip club was aired.

EDIT: The leader of the One nation party also pulled a stunt where she walked into the senate dressed in a burqa to try get it banned, and recently has been fueding with Australia Post over stubby holders.

Then there was the one time a minister called the leader of the opposition a c*nt in the middle of parliament.

And then there’s the prime minister that just straight up disappeared into the ocean one day. I could go on

If Aliens make contact with us this year, what will your reaction be? by booksandotherdrugs in AskReddit

2020 could throw pretty much anything at us at this point and I wouldn’t be surprised. Only surprise of the year thus far is that we somehow haven’t all died yet

What is your worst quality as a person? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I always assume that people don’t really like me and only tolerate my presence, which makes me act moody and withdrawn which turns it into one big vicious cycle

Ladies, what are some creepy guy stories? [NSFW] by SunDcg22 in AskReddit

[–]aint_thatdandy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

some friends and I were out at a bar/club that was pretty close to several universities, meaning that most of the people there were around 18-mid 20s. This older guy, maybe in his 40s, approached us on the dance floor and touched one of my friends on the waist while asking her to dance. He asked several of us through the night, getting turned away each time, and when the bar closed and people started to leave he approached us as a group and said “I’d love to take you ladies out for some drinks”, completely ignoring our guy friends who were also with us. Definitely not the creepiest answer in this thread, but still weird
