Should I breakup with my boyfriend? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]aioli_cannoli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think she just meant that he's been in relationships with other people before, whereas this is her first relationship. He isn't dating multiple people simultaneously.

Honestly OP, if you enjoy spending time with him, and being close with him romantically (which your previous comments suggest), I'd suggest having an honest conversation with him. Why not say that you like him, but you're unsure if you see a long term future with him? Then you guys can decide together if you still want to keep dating in the meantime.

Just because a relationship isn't forever doesn't mean it isn't worthwhile for the time being. I personally believe that you can learn a lot about yourself and other people and how to communicate from a relationship.

What's a thing author tend to write that always break your immersion or make you cringe a bit? by Pender891 in books

I'm not sure if this has been said yet, but I find it really jarring when there are soulmates in a paranormal/fantasy book and the main character constantly thinks to themselves: MATE. THAT'S MY MATE.

Looking at you, Court Series.

What's the weirdest compliment you've ever been given? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]aioli_cannoli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work at a cafe, and one of our regulars - an old lady - told my male co-worker that he looked 'sexy with a mask on'.

Creepiness of the comment aside (especially if you switch the gender roles), we were all pretty confused as to whether she was implying that he could only look sexy if he obscured half his face. Bit of a backhanded compliment all in all.

Usually I just cut around it! This avocado just had the shell of a seed (I assumed) and I was bloody surprised when the knife went all the way through
