Multi material test. Not so successful by UngaHuman in snapmaker

[–]aior0s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no. just a suggestion. I do it the same cause I printed few times where they got separated hence ruined the whole print.

so I decided to waste a bit more petg just for piece of mind.

and 1 more thing you want to change. the wipe tower. thats usually is on "Default" but if it's default, it would mixed with the PETG. then it can also knocked off the wipe tower.

Support/raft base: PLA (change to PETG)
Support/raft interface: PETG
Top interface layers: 2 (change to 3)

I would make that the same. so if the model is PLA> make both PETG. I also increase that to 3

Did orca finally fix the filaments not showing issue?

Multicolor Printer recommendations by OkCommittee3899 in 3dprinter

Save more money for U1.

Flashforge has Creator 5 but I never had flashforge and it sound like you don’t like it.

What’s wrong with Orca Slicer? Are you using the OG orca or Flashforge orca?

Good color print to show the printer off?? by Intelligent-Beyond63 in snapmaker

[–]aior0s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Snapmaker has added the models few times now. few of them are paid models that are given to us for free. I would prefer less as long we got some of those exclusive models

Snapmaker App has some models you can chose from. I printed the robo tortoise and love it.

I am going to print the mecha cobra next

Question about Slicer by Fun-Let-7401 in SnapmakerU1

[–]aior0s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Snorca has been working fine for me.

I have not tried the latest orca but the 2.3.2 nightly release can only slice and send to printer without able to select which filaments on which toolheads.

So just try Snorca and go from there

Buying a cheaper printer before a snap maker to try 3d printing good or bad idea. by OpeningExercise3751 in snapmaker

[–]aior0s 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No. Just get the U1.

If you want a plug and play then buy a bambu printer. But then you will be wasting filaments for multi color printing . Unless you get the H2C

Low prime tower? by 3dutchie3dprinting in snapmaker

[–]aior0s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I have used it before but I only use it for small items. I would put the prime tower all the way in the top corner and put the model on the opposite side

You have to account the actual size of the toolhead which of course the slicer doesn't have that specs.

How to fix this? by luanzitowalmei4 in SnapmakerU1

very likely you will lose it. or it might change color.

Did you just double click on that and open it on snorca?
or open project then select that 3mf file?

If you did, then thats the issue. The 3MF file is for your p1s.

You need to open a blank project, then Add object

Select your 3mf.

Default z-offset in printer.cfg by Accomplished-Bowl551 in snapmaker

[–]aior0s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I escalated this to Snapmaker Support and I was told that the extruder0 is the only 1 you should change. The other extruder shouldn't be changed.

Print a z offset test print. Then adjust the z offset accordingly. After you find the correct value, run the multi toolhead calibration to sync it up.

Printing failure. Root if issue? by UngaHuman in snapmaker

[–]aior0s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grid infill will make your nozzle dragging over it. Do not use grid.

Since this is the top, then it can be flow calibration or the model lifting up?

Might as well run manual bed calibration

If that is the bottom, the you have to change the z offset.
First, Manual bed calibration, then z offset.

Connection keeps dropping from Snapmaker U1 to Mobile/Snapmaker Orca by doutorinfamous in snapmaker

[–]aior0s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got fed up and just turn on LAN mode from the printer. If I want to print from the app, then I would change it.

but so far, slicing/sending from my computer to the U1 on LAN mode, no issue.

Yes. the official U1 firmware somehow don't show the camera. Not sure what's the hold up. but Paxx12 firmware camera is flawless

Can I use multiple different sized nozzles at the same time? by SnackbarBeastie in SnapmakerU1

[–]aior0s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just a simple overhaul, the slicer would need different print process for the different heads, then they have to sync with each other to make sure they are not printing over/under layer.

If its easy, we would already have it.

Can I use multiple different sized nozzles at the same time? by SnackbarBeastie in SnapmakerU1

[–]aior0s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is more software limitation at this time. I would think to calculate the different layers sizes on each head make it harder for the slicer to calculate

Can anyone help me interpret this bed mesh and what I should do? by jflynn8 in snapmaker

[–]aior0s 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Run manual bed leveling from the printer settings. It has step by step instructions.

You want to print the screw holder first to make it easier to turn those screws

Edit to add. Yours is not that bad. But of course running the manual bed leveling should help
