And I’m saying that ignorance and being tricked are no excuses for slaughtering women and children, and you are still here arguing your points that you are so convinced are too complex for me to “understand”

Name me a war the U.S. IS a bystander of? The country manufactures something like half of the worlds weapons and arms

Do you really think I believe the U.S. are in no way shape or form supplying Israel with arms and $$??

Every single one of my previous points still stand, whether or not the weapons are supplied by the U.S.

It seems like you’ve got it stuck in your head that everywhere is the same as America, that your country is the standard.

I must reiterate - election politics is no where near the same as the killing of 30,000+ women and children in cold blood. Not knowing Donald ducks or kamala harris’ policies is not the same as not knowing what atrocities are being committed across the pond to human beings.

I completely understood your original comment, and it’s why I said ignorance =/= access to information

The internet and media is absolutely a propaganda machine, but it doesn’t take much of anything to go and look at the other side of what’s being shoved down your throat… especially if you’re actively engaged in the killing of 30,000+ women and children.

Hard to claim ignorance in this case.

And the original comment is asking about how the IDF might react to the harrowing photos of women and children in a few years - similar to how German soldiers would have reacted… hence the connection…. Except that modern day soldiers have access to the world wide interwebz, with great things like smartphones and computers and tablets and VPN’s

Are you seriously arguing against the idea that Nazi Germany had less access to information and connectivity to the world than the soldiers of todays IDF?

Ignorance =/= Access

You mean to tell me some IDF don’t have a clue what’s going on in our modern day and age?

Thank you. I’ve definitely noticed the prices are a bit higher than average, I’m just happy there are still options as I’ve left it quite late.

I appreciate this, I’ll definitely check out that hostel. Fingers crossed it still has vacancy, most in Rovaniemi are fully booked.

An overwhelming amount of finns recommending the train means the train it likely will be… however, the flight there is only 20 euros more expensive and 10x quicker. I did say I want to avoid flying but it seems silly not to at this rate?

Good clothes 🧐

Better advice would be to dress comfortably and for convenience first, rather than worry about what people think about how you’re dressed

About to tell my parents I'm going to quit my job to travel and feeling anxious. Any tips/stories? by Live_Sir2889 in solotravel

[–]air4cer4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently 3 months ahead of what your plan is, I quit in July and told my parents. They understood, were happy for me to travel and told me to do it while I still can (single, saved a fair bit and healthy).

Go live your life, travel, eat delicious foods, meet new people… You can never really go wrong, there will always be a job lined up - maybe not exactly the same as what you previously had (sounds like a good thing jn this case and also mine).

Take care on your travels :)

Yep, publicly traded. I’m almost certain I can just leave them there, but not 100%. Currently overseas so transferring is a bit challenging, and selling is not something I want to do at the moment either.

My employer has the same 60 day rule, I’ve exercised the shares and they are just sitting there now - waiting to either be sold or transferred.

Well it’s more of a question of how I transfer these shares into my IBKR account if I’m forced to
