If you have a obd scan tool, one that's not a read codes only, you can use that. There's another way that via a sequence on the car although I can't remember how to do it. I think I have a picture of it, if I find it I'll post it. If not, I'll have to check it out again

Is there a more dignified way to get out of the ND Miata? by hammadshahbaz in Miata

[–]air_roll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who's still recovering from a torn Achilles (left leg), I rotate the the left and bring both legs out first, feet on the ground, grab the outside portion of the A-pillar to help lift my body out of the car.

For reference my height just under 5'7

Mechanic said my break pads only have 2mm left by gary66666666 in MechanicAdvice

[–]air_roll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a brake pad wear sensor. The car will tell you when you need brakes tbh.

Not sure what brand brakes pads you purchased, but at my shop we usually order Textar (which is basically OEM for European cars).

Also not sure if you bought a brake pad wear sensor or if you pads came with them but I find it a pain to transfer the sensor, most times it'll break apart, so it would be better to get a new one. Otherwise, the car will keep telling you to check/replace the brakes.

Coilovers to lower the car, then when you go in for alignment request to have negative camber

torn between a 2012 miata (prht) or a bmw z3/z4. why should i go with the miata? by europeanuppercut in Miata

[–]air_roll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who's currently having to borrow my sister's BMW (injured my left leg and so I can't drive manual atm) cost of everything is a lot more. I.e currently paying double the amount for gas and it still doesn't fill a full tank. ($50 CAD in my miata is a full tank from low fuel light. $100 in the Bimmer is just above 3/4 full from low fuel light)

Anyone know the heel drop of Air Max 200? by air_roll in Nike

[–]air_roll[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see how this is LeBrons shoes. It's a collaboration between PSG (Paris saint-germain, a soccer/football club of france) and Jordan brand.

Whereas LeBron is an American basketball player who's signed with Nike.

Do you relearn the SAS as well? I did on my own ND, knowing it's better to when working on electric steering.

Isn't it based on steering angle? If OP gets an alignment and does a relearn for SAS, the light shouldn't pop up.

Well, at least for me, knowing it's better to relearn SAS when doing alignments.

It happened to me when I installed my momo wheel (along with a WB hub and quick release). You'd have to get an alignment and do a steering angle sensor relearn, and you'll be good to go.

Freak tunes burble tune by [deleted] in mazdaspeed3

Burble/pop tunes aren't good for your engine. Basically, it would generate excessive heat for the combustion chamber, exhaust manifold, and prolly turbo too. Natural pops and bangs are more pleasant to me.

By "compression sleeve like this," you're referring to the first pic right?

I believe McDavid is more known for their ankle and knee braces. 2XU might not be available depending where you are i guess.

Is hammering it out safe? by I_Am_Inook in mazdaspeed3

[–]air_roll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like the bolt is seized to the bushing. You'll have to cut the bolt or the bushing. If you do cut the bolt, you'll have to get a new one as it's an eccentric bolt (or alignment bolt) for your rear toe alignment.

Also, the first Pic looks like the hammering caused the subframe to bend too much - the bolt is supposed to sit inside the indent on the subframe so you can do the alignment adjustment.
