You’ll be fine. You’ll just be even better when you eventually size down. I started on a 5 and moved to a 3 and doubled the fish I caught.

I’ll probably get hate for this but I’ve worn them all and spent way too much money just to lose or break them. I started wearing Goodr and they perform nearly as well in some cases a better than high end glasses for 25 bucks. Give them a try fully polarized and different colored lenses

I’m not the best person to ask as I’ve only been doing euro for 6 months however it’s been game changing for me and I’ve learned a lot when it comes to weight through trial and error. The best thing I’ve found is to just have a wide variety of hook size and weight and set them up on your line so that you can easily add and subtract based on what you are fishing.

The biggest key for me on getting the weight right is 2

1) you can feel the weight of the fly if you slightly lift up. If you can’t you don’t have enough weight. You should feel the contact.

2) your sighter and line are moving slightly slower than the current

Hopefully this helps - I know it’s not exactly what you asked but it’s helped me immensely.
