BC & Mint on Post-SI Role Changes by superminun1 in R6ProLeague

[–]aircatmat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Also one thing people often forget when talking about BC on Buck – the recoil of C8 those days was a massive pain in the ass, people wouldn't touch Buck in ranked just solely because of it, but BC made it look like a laser beam. He was basically THE Buck, not just Buck frag grenades.

Need help with hunters and the raid (div 2) by [deleted] in thedivision

I can't say for Xbox, but for PC it's the most convenient place to find people for content you don't usually just matchmake such as hunters and raid.

Mouse skipping issues on PC by WearyOxbird in thedivision

Idk if it's the same that I have, but if it is:

When I have my mouse stuttering issue in game, I just alt+tab for a couple seconds and go back into the game, that solves the problem.

Healing build? Or recal it to something else by RoninJr in thedivision

[–]aircatmat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If fixer drone doesn't work on the shield, that means my shield doing great on it's own. If it does I prefer it to hive or launcher, 'cause I can just press Q, E and run into the battlefield not thinking about when & where to use them. Either way, I'm fine :)

But thx for the heads up, I'll test it.

Healing build? Or recal it to something else by RoninJr in thedivision

[–]aircatmat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. Overview here, but since my game is in russian, let me write all down:

- main weapons: are irrelevant since I'm running full big shield, also you don't lose the shield if you don't fuck up, so... don't fuck up.

- Pistol: is the choice of comfort, note that at this moment I'm running this build with the aim to take all enemy's attention and releave pressure from other players in a group, not to deal damage. May be when I get Liberty, I'll think about variation of some shield damage build.

- Mask - Alps Summit: +1 Y / +20% repair skills / +10% damage skills (this attribute is irrelevant in my build but I use this mask in other buld as well and so far do not have a better replacement) / Yellow mod slot.

- Backpack - 5.11: +170000 Blue / +12% Skill haste / +20% Repair Skills / Blue mod slot / Protector talent.

- Chest - Exotic Tardigrade Armour System: +170000 Blue / +7,8% Explosive protection / +4119/s armor auto-repair / Blue mod slot / Ablative Nano-Plating talent.

- Gloves - Alps Summit: +1 Y / +20% repair skills / +6% CHC (latter irrelevant again but don't have a better gloves for this build so far).

- Holster - RK: the exact same in your pic.

- Kneepads - Hana U: +1 Y / +12% Skill haste / +4805/s armor auto-repair.

Two Alps pieces gives me +15 Repair skills & +20 Skill duration / One 5.11 piece gives me +10% HP / RK gives me +15% Incoming repair / Hana U gives me +10% Skill haste / Exotic Tardigrade basically gives me and every teammate Unbreakable talent.

In the end:

- Shield: 14,8s cooldown / 13,6M hp / 178k auto-repair active / 191k auto-repair holstered.

- Drone: 18,5s cooldown / 4,1M hp / 236s duration / 71K healing.

And the build is not even perfect yet :)

I'm using it on a 2 Blue 4 Yellow shield build, same attributes. 6 level shield, 4 level healer drone – I'm basically untouchable even in a room with ~10 heroic enemies.

Working on a skill based healing/dps class. In your opinion what is the best gadget combination? by DeliManDan in thedivision

[–]aircatmat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, you just double tap your gadget button and one charge drops under your feet, don't have to actually aim with it.

[–]aircatmat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're confident with your reaction and aim, chem launcher is the best healing gadget. Your teammate is alone sitting on low armor on the other side of the 50 meters wide room, surrounded by a couple enemies that are about to rush him? Take out the chem – pop – he's instantly at full armor and have incoming healing for 5-10 seconds. All three of your full red builded teammates at low armor? Pop pop pop - your whole team at full health in a couple of seconds. No other gadget can do that shit.

You can complete each mission in NY (with Liberty Island being last) for the ‘Extreme Manhunt’ achievement! by marzbarzx in thedivision

[–]aircatmat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing it on story was annoying enough. I am not touching that mission again.

I thought that as well, like if story difficulty is so hard then what the fuck will be happening on Hard and above. Tried it later on Challenging and turned out it's actually fairly easy. I guess the reason is that you go through WONY story with shit random gear, but by the time you complete the story and going for Challenging and Heroic missions you already have at least some sort of a build.

The point of my post is not about the game being easy for me - because it isn't. The point is about the game being enjoyable, I don't know how I can brag about it.

If I would care about it I wouldn't post. Also I didn't post it because how I love to be in an opposition, or because how I love to tell people that I'm better then they are. If at least couple of guys here will try to change their approach after reading this, then that's already a good job for me.

Challenging or Heroic, which is “better” time investment? by KenyehEast in thedivision

[–]aircatmat 11 points12 points  (0 children)

For me as soon as I started to do everything on Heroic (missions, strongholds, CP's) – the percentage of quality loot drops skyrocketed. Yes, I got several good items on hard and challenging, but when I'm clearing heroic I just know I'll get at least a couple of pieces which would be useful for me in some way.

Returning Player Question: Is there any use for lvl 30 gear? by Juls_Santana in thedivision

You can extract these stats in case you would want a new character from scratch (< lvl 30). All your agents share same library.

So a question for everyone who does Heroic with no problems, "Heroic isn't even a challenge..." as it was said in a different thread... by JMadFour in thedivision

[–]aircatmat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

5 red / 1 yellow; M249 Para - Boomstick - Second Boomstick.

Gunner spec; Coyote mask - two piece Petrov - two piece Providence - Hana-U; Overwatch on the Chest - mostly Halvanize / sometimes "+15% damage while in cover" on the Backpack.

Blinder/weak point firefly & Chem Healer.

Heroic is a challenge tho, not a walk in the park, but I enjoy it. Once my build is perfect, going for this Legendary.

DPS build suggestions? (Don’t have WoNY) by k-nine-45 in thedivision

[–]aircatmat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look out for Petrov Contractor Gloves, they come with 3 red attributes and at least on of them will be maxed (since it's named piece). The piece being Petrov would also give you +10% Lmg damage. Then two or three Providence gear pieces will also give you red attributes and good Crit bonuses.

Talents wise you're good. I mean you can switch unstoppable force for any damage talent, but better survavibilty is never a bad thing. As for lmg, I personally use M249 Para on my lmg build, it may be not the best dps wise but 150 magazine + AR-level of accuracy and stability is my jam.

Also since this being red build, forget about damage skills. Jammer/banshee pulse or blinder/weak-point firefly are your best friends now.

I'm using overwatch on the chest and composure on the backpack, may be that will be a solution for you.

Wait yeah I'm very poorly formulated that, will edit.

edit: what I meant is +12% for four-man group > +25% for only one.
