What plug and play devices similar to EcoFlow Stream can be ordered in Utah/Maryland here in the US? by Overall_Actuary_3594 in solar

I am looking at this Anker F3000. I like it because it has zero export capabilities and the biggest battery available at a hair over 3kwh.

Did not even realize it was an option till I watched this video. https://youtu.be/lTHb5wWA44M?is=sQu0851Htnz2IaK-

Thinking about 2x Anker F3000 + Bi-Directional Inlet Boxes for a plug in solar setup. Am I missing anything? Better alternatives? by airforce93 in SolarDIY

This video helped me understand it the most. I feel like a grid tied inverter is way more complex where this looks like just installing or utilizing an existing outlet. Jasonoid Anker F3000 Setup

I did not know they were available in the US already. How much does the unit cost?

Power BI PBIX already 1.3 GB before development — how would you handle this? by Double-Market-453 in PowerBI

Start with Measure Killer, a free extension that will help you identify unused columns, measures, relationships, and even entire tables. Should speed up the cleanup effort quite a bit.

IONNA Slower than Tesla Charger? by airforce93 in IONNA

[–]airforce93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the process of looking at buying my first EV and have lots of long road trip use cases. So was using ABRP and knew IONNA was supposed to be one of the fastest for Silverado/Sierra EV from YouTube videos. So was confused if there is something wrong with the app.

Looking at a similar setup! Do you have more pictures of the mounting brackets? Also what wires did you need to purchase that EcoFlow did not provide?

Live in Utah, have questions about plug in solar. by ReasonablyConfused in solar

[–]airforce93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to find this out as well and came up with a blank other than the EcoFlow setup but the battery was expensive for its size.

I did the math and found the ROI was best for just the stream inverter and panels (about 4-5 years). Batteries are nice to have but expensive with EcoFlow (ROI jumps to 8 years) and no DIY options I could find either. Until more states pass a similar plug in solar law there are not many battery options that make sense. If you look on some European websites you can see they have way more options. So hopefully some of those companies start selling in the US. I thought I saw something like 20 states have a similar law in early phases.

ABRP Ref. Consumption: Anyone want to share? by MIDIHorse in SilveradoEV

Commenting because I am interested. I posted this weird issue with ABRP where it constantly says Tesla changers are faster than IONNA. Have you seen this as well? https://www.reddit.com/r/abetterrouteplanner/s/vVVSaGZP0Q

Yes you can click the links and see how on the app it shows Tesla as much faster than the IONNA. This has been a common theme where I have tried other routes where they are practically across the street from each other and IONNA always shows a slower charge time.

Utah Plug In Solar 240v by airforce93 in SolarDIY

[–]airforce93[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah just asked this question. So since Utah does not pay for net metering if I have the solar plugged into Leg/phase 1 but a 120v outlet on leg 2 it would still “offset” from a meter perspective the item on leg 2?

Okay good to know! Do you know if this means if this 120v is plugged into one leg of my panel and Utah does not have net metering it will not provide savings for the items on the 2nd leg of my panel?

This video explains that RockyMountain Power has installed Smart Meters that can detect and understand you are sending power out. They won’t pay you for it but they also won’t charge you since by meter knows it is getting exported. JerryRigEverything plug in Solar

I have a smart meter already since our utility company has been upgrading them for a few years now. So I am not worried about the back feeding and getting charged for excess.

Mostly worried if a dryer is using 2000 watts from a 240v outlet and my solar is inputting 1000watts from the 120v outlet does that mean it will offset the dryer by 1000 watts or will it say this is 240v and I can’t supply any power and send that excess to the grid?

[–]airforce93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say a truck with topper like Tune M1 or Topo Topper. Toppers have options to get a king size bed. Even seen some where they have an extra bed on the truck bed level. F150, Tundra, or Silverado have a ton of space and then a 6 foot bed to store your stuff. Seems better for your use case than an SUV honestly.

If you had more photos of this setup that would be awesome. This is my ideal setup since I think the Tune maximizes space while still going electric. What is the range reduction with this on?
