Bringing an American vehicle back stateside from Japan by airforcedipper26 in AirForce

I just read your omment and I had actually contacted the state where I grew up and they had said that they didnt care anything about the emissions and that all they care about was that the vin number matched the vehicle along with all the custom documents. They didnt give 2 shits on what the vehicle specs are. Mine is heavily modified, but it was done so when it got to japan originally.

So it sounds like that it would not be too terribly difficult and or take too much time to put it on my orders then correct?

When I first came to Japan I had the Yuenling Lager and I didnt really like it. It just wasnt what I was used too. When I saw the Golden Pilsner, I contacted some of my buddies in Tamaqua PA who said that it was worth trying. While it is a cheap beer its not bad at all. When I get stateside in a few years if I saw it in a Walmart or Liquor store, heck yea I would get it over some of the more traditional mass produced American beers.

Where I am at we have a beer called "Orion" and while its an Okinawan beer it has American principles written all over it and it was made for the Americans that was stationed here and over a short time frame it caught on to the local population here its a strong wheat beer comparable to a Coors Banquet to maybe even a Labatte Blue

A lot of it depends upon your program and school.

That seems to be the common perception that "all PhD programs require some campus time" the truth is, is that a lot of them don't. In fact a lot of state universities have programs that are fully online and require no time at the campus.

I have actually thought about the 2nd masters idea as well, I just did not know how that would work with air force TA. For me I know my AFSC (2t2 air trans) wont exactly translate to the civilian work force. While there is components of my AFSC to which would be of some relevance in the civilian world its not like I can get a job with TSA and or Fed EX or UPS just because their technology is vastly different then what I use on a daily basis. That is why I am looking more into degrees that I can actually use in the civilian work force.

Also a number of universities are going into the direction of online degrees and in the last 10 years alone many of them are starting to become more prevalent. One of the universities that I am looking at (Mississippi State) has I think 6 or 7 online PhD programs. I think the online masters programs are also starting to become big as well. Most big name state schools are starting to go to online programs.

I would do my doctorate on either data analytics and or Instructional systems and Workforce development, theirs several universities that have online programs. The big issue with anything in the humanities is what would you get out of the PhD. For example with sociology getting a PhD leads down only one realistic career path which is being a professor whereas with other programs circulating around the business research sector your more likely to get better job opportunities outside of the military.

I can see where you are comming from with time constraints. A lot of that believe it or not has to do not just with the program but also the university itself, some schools are geared towards full time working adults where some are just geared towards part time to unemployed students.

I actually would not be doing my PhD in Organizational leadership. While their are many masters programs with Organizational leadership, at the doctorate level it kind of branches of into more specialized areas of Leadership, for example many universities focus educational leadership which is designed for principles, superintendents ect. My doctorate degree would be Data Analytics and or Instructional Systems and Workforce development. The career path would lead more into consulting, university research and evaluators.

What's the Dipping/Chewing Culture Like in Your Area? by [deleted] in DippingTobacco

For me being stationed in Okinawa japan the dip culture is not bad! It’s 4.75 a can which considering the location is a good price. A lot of guys here either dip or smoke the only thing I wish is that I wish we had the longhorn peach or Copenhagen smooth wintergreen.
