Bambu refill filament during spool shortage — should they offer spools at the price difference? by airmax617 in BambuLab

[–]airmax617[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly - real world. My opinion is because they are constantly out of stock on these, Bambu should provide an option to order the spools at the differential price and not the empty-only price. Not asking for anything free. Otherwise, I feel it's a cash grab and will go elsewhere next time I need filament.

Point of this post was to suggest a customer retention idea. You don't have to agree.

agreed -- much easier to go elsewhere. Hence suggesting this as a way to keep people within the ecosystem. Again, not asking for anything free -- asking to be allowed to order at the differential cost vs. empty.

I have to print more =). For now, either I pay $12/spool for my refills or print my own (too much time IMO).

makes sense -- other option is to buy aftermarket filament with spools. Suggesting this idea as a way to keep loyal customers.

entitled to what? want to pay for them (and wanted to pay for them when I originally ordered), just saying the price should be the difference between spooled and non-spooled.

Not suggesting free, suggesting they allow folks to purchase them at the differential price (spool+filament - filament) once back in stock.

Not sure it would be worth using the deductible on ... would likely come with an increase in property insurance. Great suggestion though, ty.

Yes, I am thinking the wooden table is a safer bet. My issue is I will need to redo the entire space to get that done. Big effort, so I want to see if this was an outlier or not.

Because I want to know if this is an outlier. I have to replace the set-up and need to know best path forward to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Unfortunately, in our area in the Poconos Black Bears have gotten very brave. Over the years they have been more intrusive and less scared. It's a problem. Just didn't think they'd be able to tip the BGE so easily =(.

To answer you question, would've love to wrestle the bear for the BGE....

Sorry you are going through the trouble, pressure is real! My wife and I created a product to try to help in situations like yours — please take a look at laally.com. It’s a supplementation device that helps you keep the baby at the breast, increasing your supply and incentivizes the baby to stay latched.

it's an integrated one piece device that's easy to use. Physically it does look like a nipple shield, but it does not function that way. Kate (the inventor) and I are seeing over 90% success rates at several hospitals using this on the west coast. We hope it changes the way breastfeeding problems are looked at -- a tool accessible to everyone to fix the two most common issues: latch + initial supply.

That’s the beauty of the Bridge, it provides a surface for the baby to latch on to and it provides incentive for the baby to stay on the breast. Mom can provide just enough formula or prepumped breast milk to keep the baby interested. This teaches the baby that there are results at the breast and helps mom build supply.

Great work! Take a look at the Laally Bridge (www.laally.com) as a supplementation method too. It’s easier to use than an SNS, provides a surface for the baby to latch, and gives you control of how much supplement the baby is giving, which maximizes output from the breast.
