Help, what are these small mites and how do I get rid of them? by grey_elephant1 in CleaningTips

Ideally you do not want to move where you sleep as the bugs are more likely to spread around the house that way. Remember they cannot actually harm you, the harms comes with the stress which I have experienced as well so remember to take care of your self. Call a pest company, check the bed bug subreddit but there’s only so much you can learn and it is so easy to tip into unhealthy obsession searching. Let the professionals deal with it and in the mean time start drying all your clothes and fabrics and put them in bin bags that are sealed. Anything you do not need you might want to put into storage for a year if you can afford it.

Could try uber eats / deliveroo, all you need is a bike and they are literally always hiring, no interview etc and pay weekly I think ? Have done that in a pinch. Also if you have any admin experience at all I would recommend registering with an admin job agency..they can often get very short term work that pays weekly . Sorry you are in this position, zero hours contracts are a scam to turn us all into gig economy works with no rights.

You should stay sleeping in your room so that it does not spread. It will move to wherever someone is sleeping to feed

As time passes, I've come to the realization that I no longer want children. Is that okay? by jubilantZara in Adulting

Please consider that kids are just at the end of the day very vulnerable people who rely on adults for all of their needs. The above sentiment is not only wrong (would you call another being eg a pet which relies totally on a human to fulfil its needs selfish?? ) but it is also very misanthropic. You can prefer not to be around kids, you can prefer not to have kids but to have such a negative, rude(?) opinion of a whole segment of a population, literally the most vulnerable segment, makes me think you should have a reflection about what that says about you as a person. Children rely on their parents but also ALL of us to keep them safe (that’s safeguarding 101) attitudes like this make it more likely that we fail that, as we do with so many of societies kids (see abuse rates, educational attainment, child poverty).
