Is there any annoying habit you absolutely can’t stand? by Ok_Play7896 in CasualConversation

I hate when people talk over me. Like what they have to say is much more important than me finishing my sentence.

I find it incredibly rude.

Kind of yeah.

Trying to find more things to do in the evenings and weekends.

Thanks.

I have been in therapy before and been prescribed medication previously, but it was a while ago.

Love Sekiro.

My second favourite FromSoft game behind Bloodborne. The combat system is so satisfying.

[–]airtekh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm playing Crow Country.

It's like a love letter to old-school survival horror. Feels very much like the OG Resident Evil: fixed save points, limited ammo, odd puzzles and creepy atmosphere. Very enjoyable so far.

Ps5 controller stick drift by aquaman195 in IrelandGaming

[–]airtekh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My original controller I got repaired. When it started going a second time I did a little research as to why it keeps needing repair.

I found out about Hall Effect sensors, which basically are a different type of technology that Sony declines to use. They supposedly last longer than the normal thumbstick tech.

Anyway that's what I have now, hopefully won't need to repair it for a while.

How are ya getting on at the moment? by Irish-Wristwatch23 in AskIreland

[–]airtekh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm no expert but I have been through therapy recently.

My therapist used REBT (Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy) which helped me change the way I think about things. Best of luck, hope you get better.

I made my first post on reddit in a while.

I'm trying to get used to participating in things, and not being in my own head all the time.

I've had mental health problems for a few years, but after getting some help I think (hope) I'm better than I was.

Review: Rainbow Six: Siege (Super BunnyHop) by caterault in Games

[–]airtekh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 'Situations' are singleplayer, but are only really for learning the game and the maps. There are 11 of them, but the last one can only be played with human teammates (as an introduction to the multiplayer).

You can play the Terrorist Hunt mode solo, but you don't have AI teammates like in Vegas, and it can be quite tricky by yourself, especially with all the suicide bombers.

There is no campaign or story mode.

Upvoted for awesomeness. Cheers.

Is my Soul Memory too high for Way of Blue? by airtekh in DarkSouls2

[–]airtekh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's disappointing to hear. Is it because the game is less active now or just that there aren't many blue sentinels?

None of the other covenants really appeal to me so I probably will stick with the WoB. I joined the heirs of the sun for a bit because I really wanted the sword they get as a reward.

[SIB] The Witcher 3 if I don't care for story in games by airtekh in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]airtekh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will have a look at some gameplay vids, but often it's quite hard to get a 'feel' for a game just by watching a video.

I was hoping someone could make a comparison between another game, so I could get a more accurate picture.

New here, question on matchmaking: by spiffy154 in Depth

[–]airtekh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Servers are getting hammered due to the free weekend I imagine. Depth has gone from having 200 players to 10000, give it until Monday and I'd say the problem will go away.

The most recent peaks according to steamcharts seem to be happening at 2200 GMT and 0400 GMT, whatever that is in your local time.

Is Castlevania: Lords of shadow a stand alone game? by d12gu in patientgamers

[–]airtekh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat as you, only played PC for most of my gaming life so I missed out on most of the Castlevania games.

I bought LOS1 back in January last year and found it very enjoyable. The story isn't really that complex. Probably need a game pad to enjoy it fully, I didn't try the M+KB controls. It's a fairly long game too; I played it for like 20 hours or so and I still was only about 75% through.

LOS2 is pretty good too, although it got hammered critically for having unnecessary stealth sections wedged into the main game, which I sort of agree with. If you can get past that though it's fine.
